Congress of the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade for the 2025-2030 term: Innovation, creativity, contributing to making Hai Phong the leading city in the country in the cause of industrialization and modernization

On the morning of June 20, the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade held the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending were representatives of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee, along with 166 official delegates attending the congress.

In the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade promoted the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, comprehensively and excellently completed the tasks and targets set out with 5/8 targets of the term completed, in which all targets were achieved and exceeded the set plan. Notably, the proportion of processing and manufacturing industry in GRDP by 2025 is estimated to reach 46.4%, exceeding the target set out in the Resolution (by 2025 it will reach 41 - 43%); the proportion of high-tech industrial product value in processing and manufacturing industry by 2025 is estimated to reach 68%, exceeding the target set out in the Resolution (by 2025 it will reach 47 - 49%); Export turnover by 2025 is estimated to reach 37 billion USD, exceeding the target set by the Resolution (by 2025 it will reach 35 billion USD)... In addition, the dissemination and implementation of the Party's Directives and Resolutions are carried out seriously, always associated with the development of action programs of the Party Committee for implementation. Attention is paid to the work of building and improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members. The Party Committee's leadership method towards mass organizations continues to be innovated. During the term, the Party Committee admitted 11 masses, exceeding the target set by the Resolution.

At the Congress, delegates focused on discussing and agreeing on the goals, directions, and tasks for the 2025-2030 term with the general goal: Building a clean, strong, united, and unified Party organization; enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; constantly innovating, being dynamic, creative, and proactively advising the city to contribute to making Hai Phong a leading city in the country in the cause of industrialization and modernization; a driving force for development in the Northern region and the whole country; having modern, smart, and sustainable industrial development; a modern international logistics service center by sea, air, highway, and high-speed rail.

The Congress determined a number of specific targets for the next term, in which the industrial production development index is expected to increase by an average of 17-17.5% per year in the 2026-2030 period; by 2030, the proportion of processing and manufacturing industry in the city's GRDP will reach 47-48%; the proportion of high-tech products and high-tech applied products in the processing and manufacturing industries will reach over 60%; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue will increase by an average of 14-15% per year; export turnover by 2030 will reach 75-80 billion USD. Regarding Party building work, strive for 100% of Party cells to complete their tasks well, 15-20% of Party cells to complete their tasks excellently; 100% of Party members to complete their tasks well, 15-20% of Party members to complete their tasks excellently; Admit 3-5 outstanding people into the Party, no Party members are disciplined...
At the Congress, with high consensus, delegates voted to pass the draft Resolution of the Party Congress of the Department of Industry and Trade for the 2025-2030 term.
