Congress of Vinh University Student Union, term XIV, 2025

On the morning of October 21, Vinh University solemnly held the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Student Association of Vinh University, term 2025 - 2028. Attending were representatives of Vinh University's leadership, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, representatives of universities and colleges in the province and nearly 300 delegates representing more than 19,000 students of the whole school.

The summary report on the work of the Association and the student movement for the 2023 - 2025 term, the direction and tasks for the 2025 - 2028 term affirmed that, in the past term, the Vinh University Student Association has achieved many outstanding results: the "5 Good Students" movement has spread more and more widely; learning, scientific research, innovation, start-up and volunteer activities for the community have been effectively implemented; the work of building the Association organization has become increasingly stronger.

During the term, the whole school had 121 students achieving the title of "5 Good Students" at the school level, 18 students achieving the title of "5 Good Students" at the provincial level, 1 student achieving the title of "5 Good Students" at the central level; many individuals achieved the "January Star" award at all levels, affirming the bravery, intelligence and pioneering spirit of Vinh University students.

Volunteer movements such as “Green Summer”, “Warm Winter”, “Supporting Exam Season”, blood donation activities... continue to be bright spots, attracting thousands of students to participate, contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity and social responsibility among young people.

The opinions presented at the congress focused on proposing many solutions to improve the effectiveness of the Association's activities in the new period, especially in the fields of volunteering for the community, digital transformation in learning and skills training, as well as enhancing foreign language skills and international integration for students.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Ho Phuc Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Nghe An province highly appreciated the leading role of the Vinh University Student Association in the student movement of the whole province, especially in effectively implementing the "5 Good Students" movement, applying digital transformation and volunteer activities towards the community.

Promoting the achievements, in the 2025 - 2028 term, Vinh University Student Association sets the following goals: to train students with strong political will, extensive knowledge, professional skills and the ability to integrate internationally; improve the quality of the "5 Good Students" movement; innovate operating methods associated with digital transformation, artificial intelligence and creative startups; build the University Student Association into a common home, a trusted companion of students.

He hopes that in the new term, the Association will continue to innovate its methods of operation, taking students as the center, and strongly promoting the pioneering and creative spirit of Vinh University youth.

The Congress elected 27 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Vinh University Student Association, term XIV, 2025 - 2028. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Loc was re-elected as President of the Vinh University Student Association.
