Border residents receive health care from the Border Guard

Logistics - Technical Department, the rate of healthy soldiers of the Border Guard force in 2025 will reach nearly 99%. To contribute to ensuring the health of each soldier, the unit ensures full standards and food quantities for officers and soldiers according to regulations, as well as deploying to units to perform well the work of ensuring food hygiene and safety.

Only when coming to the Training Battalion - Mobile Border Guard of the city - the unit that carries out training in general, and annual training of new soldiers in particular, can we understand the efforts and results of the Logistics - Technical Department. The kitchen is spacious, always neat and clean. Meals are full of quantity and nutrition with seasonal food, vegetables and clean fruits; dishes change every day, ensuring that new soldiers and officers in the unit are healthy enough for the training ground.

To do that, the Logistics - Technical Department has promoted the work of increasing production. At the unit, the growing garden is always abundant with vegetables, water spinach, jute, squash, pumpkins, etc. The barn always has hundreds of pigs, thousands of chickens and ducks, which are a source of clean vegetables for the daily meals of officers and soldiers.

Units on both border lines have also stepped up production. Many units, in addition to vegetable gardens and herds of pigs, chickens and ducks, also raise goats, dig ponds to raise fish, and develop fish breeds of high economic value. These models not only aim to improve the meals of officers and soldiers but also help people in border areas replicate effective economic models.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Hai, Head of Logistics and Engineering, said: In 2025, the production increase of units in the Border Guard will reach 85.4 tons of vegetables and fruits, 16.7 tons of various livestock meat, 5.2 tons of poultry meat and 2.8 tons of various fish, improving meals for officers and soldiers. The Logistics and Engineering Department has also purchased and milled more than 78.9 tons of rice to ensure clean and new rice for units.

Along with taking care of "meals and sleep", the Logistics - Technical Department always ensures the good implementation of medical examination and treatment for officers and soldiers. During the year, the unit organized health check-ups, HIV, drug tests, hepatitis B, C... for 120 new soldiers. At the same time, in coordination with Hue Central International Hospital, Hue Central Hospital organized periodic health check-ups for 562/573 officers and soldiers (reaching a rate of more than 98%); examined and treated 598 officers and soldiers at the base unit; promptly transferred 51 patients to higher levels for treatment.
