- On the afternoon of November 18, on the occasion of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Son Province in 2024, the Congress delegation led by Comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Congress Steering Committee, offered incense at the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh and the Monument of Comrade Hoang Van Thu (Lang Son City).

At the incense offering points, the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and comrade Hoang Van Thu to the country's revolutionary cause.

Lang Son is a mountainous province in the Northeast border of the country with 83.91% of the population being ethnic minorities. In recent years, Lang Son province has always paid attention to implementing ethnic work and ethnic policies well. The 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024 has the theme: "Ethnic groups in Lang Son province unite, innovate, promote advantages, potentials, integrate and develop sustainably". This is an event of profound political and social significance, summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing ethnic work and ethnic policies in the period of 2019 - 2024, determining directions and tasks for the period of 2024 - 2029.

Thereby, continuing to affirm and recognize the great contributions of ethnic minorities in the province in the work of poverty reduction, new rural construction, socio-economic development and international integration. At the same time, it is an opportunity to honor, commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities; a forum for exchange, learning and sharing experiences, aiming to raise awareness, create consensus and strengthen people's trust in the Party and State.

After the incense offering ceremony, the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Lang Son province held a preparatory session with the following contents: electing the presidium and the congress secretariat; approving the program and regulations of the congress. The official session of the congress will take place on the morning of November 19, 2024 at the Provincial Convention Center.
