Speeding up the progress of Hung Vuong Ecological Park Project

This afternoon, August 18, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh chaired a working session with departments, branches and localities to listen to reports on the construction progress of the Hung Vuong Park Project (a flooded ecological park in Phu Thuy ward).

The representative of the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2, Mr. Phan Duc Thanh, reported a summary of the project implementation. Accordingly, the project with a scale of 30.08 hectares will be invested in the construction of the following items: Observation structures, squares, outdoor stages; camping areas, rest huts; planting trees on water surfaces, constructing high and low roads; reinforcing canal embankments; building boat docks.

Hung Vuong Park project combines the construction of a park perimeter with a riverside promenade, and the expansion of Ton That Tung and Le Dai Hanh streets in the area to serve visitors.

The total investment of the project is 498 billion VND. Currently, the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 has implemented the investment preparation phase such as approving the design, estimate, contractor selection plan, etc.

Meanwhile, recently, the compensation and site clearance work for the Hung Vuong Park Project was carried out by the Binh Thuan Land Fund Development Center (old) at the Hung Vuong Residential Area Project Phase II, Area 4 + 5 in the current new Phu Thuy ward, with a total area of ​​more than 43 hectares, the total number of households receiving compensation is 124 records.

Up to now, there have been decisions on compensation and support for 109 files, covering an area of ​​over 33 hectares. The remaining files are being negotiated for compensation and site clearance by the Lam Dong Provincial Land Fund Development Center after the merger.

At the meeting, functional departments and branches expressed their opinions and requested the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 and the Land Fund Development Center of Lam Dong province to remove obstacles and speed up the project's construction progress.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 to coordinate with functional units to base on specific urban planning to redefine and adjust the detailed planning of the project; ensure connection with the surrounding natural landscape, create harmony, and ensure environmental sanitation.

The Department of Construction is responsible for appraising the project design. Along with that, the Department of Finance advises the Provincial People's Committee to arrange funds to pay for planning costs for the consulting unit.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment reviewed and handed over the compensation and site clearance files to the Lam Dong Provincial Land Fund Development Center so that the center could coordinate with Phu Thuy Ward to carry out propaganda and mobilize people in compensation and site clearance for the remaining files, and support resettlement for households in the project area.
