But there are also many people who always "drink too much" so they can no longer "relax" and get drunk like this construction worker.

The construction worker "reported" to the traffic police when they blew the whistle to check his papers that he was a construction worker and was given alcohol by the homeowner from nearly 7 pm until late at night. He was given "directions" by passersby to "get home", but after 3 times he still returned to the starting point, until he met the traffic police to check his alcohol level.

At first, it was just a show of goodwill from the homeowner, but gradually it became a habit in most construction projects. The homeowner or contractor had to treat the workers to a meal as a "tacit commitment" in the construction industry.

That is to say, in the past, drunk driving only had the wife nagging, but now, if you drink alcohol (not necessarily drunk), you will be fined millions, even tens of millions, and your driver's license will be revoked if you encounter a traffic police officer measuring your alcohol level.

But now, measuring alcohol concentration is no longer "occasional". The case of the construction worker in Ha Tinh mentioned above was both unlucky and… lucky.

Many people get so drunk that they forget their way home, but it is rare to be so drunk that you meet the traffic police and still not be fined for alcohol concentration violations because you are given "special treatment".

The construction worker who violated the alcohol concentration was very lucky because that day, the Director of Ha Tinh Police personally participated in checking the alcohol concentration with the traffic police patrol team on duty.

Suppose that day, if the police chief was not there, things would have been different. That means the construction worker would have been fined "7-8 million, not a small amount", as the provincial police chief said.

It is normal for a person to be tested for alcohol and be fined heavily after getting drunk. However, this is an "unusual" case because the construction worker was given special treatment because "he is honest and simple". He was drunk and forgot his way home, but when asked what his job was, he still showed his construction tools to prove his profession.

The construction worker wrote a commitment not to repeat the alcohol concentration while driving.

He even remembered the "code name" he used to save his wife's name in his phone, which only he understood the meaning of! Instead of saving his wife's name, he saved "Do rac gang tro" - a pure Ha Tinh dialect!

But the mason was given special privileges not to be tested for alcohol concentration and then punished not necessarily because he was "honest and simple", but mainly because of the "flexible" behavior of the people on duty. That is to say this is a rare case.

After all, it is also a way for people to move towards goodness.

The first opinion is that this is a flexible way of handling the traffic police force, directly by the Director of Ha Tinh Police. Although he was not directly fined, the construction worker still had to go to the police station where he lived the next day to explain and write a commitment not to repeat the offense.

This mason did exactly what the authorities asked. I believe he will never reoffend because "luck never comes twice" - good luck will never happen again! Handling it like that will certainly be more effective than punishing him. Because if punished, it will first of all push the mason's family into more difficult situations and the deterrent effect may not be as high as "forgiving" him.

It is also important to understand that such "flexibility", as mentioned, is a rare case, so it only happens this one time.

People also know that we cannot use that case to compare and "cry for injustice" if we get drunk and get lost 3 times like that construction worker.

Perhaps the law enforcement officers in Ha Tinh have also taken into account the second opinion, which is "the law has no forbidden zones, no special privileges".

If this person is forgiven, the severity of punishment in other cases will be unfair... However, the ultimate purpose of punishment is to prevent violators from committing violations again, not to "punish them for what they deserve" as many people think.
