On the evening of August 17, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) officially announced the benchmark scores and admission results for the 50th course - full-time university in 2024.

The benchmark score in 2024 increased sharply

UEH has just announced all admission methods increased at both Ho Chi Minh City campus and Vinh Long branch.

In 2024, UEH will implement 6 admission methods, including:

Method 1: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ;

Method 2: Consider candidates who have graduated from foreign high school programs and have international certificates;

Method 3: Admission of excellent students;

Method 4: Consider the learning process according to the subject combination;

Method 5: Admission based on the results of the competency assessment test;

Method 6: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2024.

Accordingly, the benchmark scores of 56 training programs recruiting in Ho Chi Minh City (increased sharply compared to 2023.

Specifically, the benchmark score for method 3 ranges from 48 - 83 points; method 4 from 49 - 85 points; method 5 from 800 - 995 points; and from 23.8 - 27.2 points for the high school graduation exam results method.

The ASEAN Co-op bachelor's program and the talented bachelor's program group are 72-73 points (method 3, 4) and 25.3 to 27.15 points (method 6). This admission score range corresponds to candidates with excellent academic performance or higher, with an international English certificate equivalent to IELTS from 6.0 or TOEFL iBT from 73 points or higher, mostly students from specialized schools, excellent students at the provincial/municipal level.

At UEH - Vinh Long, the score distribution of methods 3 and 4 is from 49, 40 respectively (increased from 1 - 8 points compared to 2023); method 5 is 550 - 650 (increased by 50 points); especially in method 6 considering high school graduation exam results, the admission score distribution increased from 1 to 5 points, ranging from 17 - 22 points.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director of UEH - said: "Up to now, the traditional majors at UEH Vinh Long campus have met their enrollment quota, with candidates with excellent academic results or higher registering for admission.

In addition, UEH Vinh Long will continue to recruit additional majors that have been newly recruited in recent years such as tax, technology and innovation, robotics and artificial intelligence (engineering system), agricultural business, hotel management, etc. with a quota of 10-25 for each training program.

More than 1,000 entrance scholarships for excellent candidates, those who overcome difficulties and are passionate about technology

Also on this occasion, UEH offers more than 1,000 scholarships and interest support when participating in the study credit program for new students.

Accordingly, UEH offers 791 scholarships to excellent candidates with high admission scores and candidates with difficult circumstances, contributing to sharing and encouraging all candidates from different regions, coming from different conditions and circumstances.

Specifically: 626 admission scholarships for new students with high admission results. Of which, at the Ho Chi Minh City campus, there are 570 scholarships, including 50 excellent scholarships, 170 full scholarships and 350 partial scholarships.

At Vinh Long campus: 56 scholarships including 5 excellent scholarships, 15 full scholarships and 36 partial scholarships.

UEH also offers 165 scholarships to support learning for new students with difficult circumstances. In which, at the Ho Chi Minh City campus: 150 scholarships to support learning, including 50 full scholarships and 100 partial scholarships; at the Vinh Long campus: 15 scholarships to support learning, including 5 full scholarships and 10 partial scholarships.

In addition, there are scholarships for students studying technology programs.

At the Ho Chi Minh City campus, UEH grants scholarships to 50% of students admitted to new training programs in the fields of computers, information technology; and engineering technology. Including 50% full scholarships and 50% partial scholarships.

At Vinh Long campus, UEH offers priority scholarships for 3 programs: Technology and Innovation, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (engineering system), and Agricultural Business.

At the same time, 100% of students with registered residence in the Mekong Delta region studying 3 training programs: Technology and Innovation, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (Engineering system), and Agricultural Business will receive 100% scholarships for the first semester tuition (for students with excellent admission criteria), and 50% scholarships for the first semester tuition (for the remaining students with registered residence in the Mekong Delta).
