The benchmark scores of many southern universities will increase.

TPO - The admission scores of many universities in the South are expected to increase compared to previous years, focusing on the fields of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Marketing.

After 10 rounds of virtual screening nationwide, universities will announce official benchmark scores today (August 22). In the Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence groups, many schools predict benchmark scores will increase.

According to the representative of Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA), the current benchmark score of the school is between 18 and 27. The two majors Information Technology and Telecommunications Electronics can increase by 2 points compared to last year. The remaining majors all have benchmark scores of 20 or more, the highest being Flight Operations Management. Although the Marketing major has just opened, the current benchmark score is also quite high at 24.5 points.

Regarding the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) , Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang, Vice Principal of the school, said that after 7 virtual filtering times, the school's benchmark score is about 24.2 to 29.5, the highest in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

"The benchmark scores are differentiated. Key industries such as Artificial Intelligence and Microchip Design are still increasing strongly, while some other industries are slightly decreasing," said Mr. Khang.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education expects the admission scores for most majors to increase compared to last year, due to the increase in the number of candidates applying to the school, mainly for their first and second choices.

According to the school representative, the English Pedagogy major is expected to continue to lead in terms of benchmark scores. The engineering and technology majors also have high benchmark scores, with two prominent majors being semiconductors and automation.

A representative of the University of Finance and Marketing said that the school's benchmark score is expected to increase or decrease by 0.5 points compared to last year, depending on the major. Of which, the Marketing major has the highest benchmark score.

Based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, Master Cu Xuan Tien - Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department, University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University), predicts that the admission score using the graduation exam scores of the Math and English subject groups will be lower than the remaining groups.

According to Mr. Tien, the benchmark score of the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) this year may decrease by about 0.5-1.5 points compared to last year, depending on the major. For highly competitive majors such as International Business, E-commerce, International Economics, Marketing, Economic Law, the benchmark score may decrease lower than the above level or remain the same.

After receiving the admission results, candidates need to confirm their admission online on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training , no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 30. If they skip this step, it will be considered that the candidate has refused to study.
