Investigation into the case of a patient in critical condition after coming to a private beauty facility in Hai Phong

The Ministry of Health has issued a document requesting an investigation into the case of a woman in critical condition after a cosmetic procedure in Hai Phong, to ensure safety and strictly handle violations.

On July 12, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) sent a document to the Hai Phong City Department of Health, Hai Duong City General Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital to inspect and report the incident that occurred at the Meliza High-Tech Aesthetic Training Center and cosmetic treatment facility.

Accordingly, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management said it received information reflecting the incident that occurred at the Meliza High-Tech Aesthetics Training Center and Aesthetic Therapy Facility at 482 Nguyen Van Linh, Le Thanh Nghi Ward, Hai Phong City on a number of social networking sites.

After review, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Hai Phong City Department of Health to coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently inspect and clarify the above reflections and report the results to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management before 2:00 p.m. on July 14, 2025 for synthesis and reporting to the leaders of the Ministry of Health .

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested Hai Duong General Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital to synthesize and report on the process of receiving, examining, and treating patients in the above case.

As reported by VietnamPlus, the authorities of Le Thanh Nghi ward (Hai Phong) are verifying and clarifying the case of a female customer who showed critical symptoms and a poor prognosis after undergoing a procedure at a local cosmetic facility.

Specifically, at around 10:00 a.m. on July 2, Ms. Nguyen Thi Th. (born in 1985, residing on Do Quang Street, Le Thanh Nghi Ward, former Hai Duong Province - now Hai Phong City) went to MELIZA High-Tech Aesthetic Training Center to perform treatment steps.

Here, female customers receive a number of services such as massage, acupressure, and some procedures to remove breast fillers (about 2 years ago, Ms. Th. had a breast filler injection procedure).

After the procedure, Ms. Th. fainted. Afterwards, the owner and staff of the MELIZA High-Tech Aesthetic Training Center took her to the Hai Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to Ms. Th.'s worsening health, her family took her to the Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi) for emergency treatment./.
