Also attending were comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; leaders of Con Dao special zone.
At the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs at Hang Keo Cemetery and Hang Duong Cemetery, the delegation laid wreaths, offered incense, and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of the Heroes and Martyrs and patriots who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
Afterwards, the delegation visited and burned incense at the graves of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, patriot Nguyen Anh Ninh, People's Armed Forces Hero Vo Thi Sau and the graves of heroic martyrs resting at Hang Duong cemetery. The delegation also performed the bell-ringing ceremony and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Con Dao Temple.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to policy families and meritorious people in Con Dao area, including: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vien's family, a 21% disabled veteran, former political prisoner in Con Dao; Mrs. Luong Thi Ngu's family, wife of a martyr; and Mr. Le Van Tien's family, a 21% disabled veteran.
Minister Dao Hong Lan also visited and presented gifts to students; provided free health check-ups and dental treatment at Cao Van Ngoc Primary School. At this examination site, doctors and nurses from the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in Ho Chi Minh City on September 19 and 20 examined, treated dental diseases and presented gifts to 1,100 students of the school.
