The National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province worked with the Provincial People's Committee, Court, Procuracy and a number of sectors and localities.

In preparation for the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly , on the afternoon of October 9, the provincial National Assembly delegation held a working session with the People's Committee, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy and a number of sectors and localities on contents related to the session. Comrades: Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the working session.

At the working session, the provincial National Assembly delegation listened to reports on the implementation of the 9-month socio-economic development plan, finance and budget; difficulties, obstacles, recommendations to the National Assembly, the Government and central ministries and branches; work on preventing corruption, law violations, civil judgment enforcement, public reception, handling of complaints and denunciations; results of activities of the Court and the Procuracy; shortcomings and obstacles in handling compensation and resettlement of Ban Ve hydropower plant.

The provincial National Assembly delegation, representatives of departments and branches attended the working session.

Next, the provincial National Assembly delegation informed voters about a number of issues of concern before the 8th session. Of these, 8 petitions were under the Central authority and 31 petitions were under the provincial authority.

Mr. Tran Nhat Minh - Full-time National Assembly Delegate of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation spoke at the working session.

In addition to issues of concern to voters, the meeting focused on discussing content related to post-resettlement of Ban Ve Hydropower Plant. These were difficulties in granting land use rights to resettled households; compensation for the difference in land value between the departure and destination areas; compensation solutions for residential land and forestry land on floodplains of more than 300 households; infrastructure arising after the project...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung thanked the National Assembly delegation and each individual National Assembly delegate for actively accompanying the province in resolving issues, recommendations and proposals. Nghe An province will continue to make efforts to lead, direct and manage the implementation of goals and targets; and effectively resolve voters' recommendations and proposals under the province's authority.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also directed the direction to resolve existing problems and difficulties in compensation and resettlement of Ban Ve Hydropower Plant in the coming time, as well as hoped that the delegation and National Assembly deputies would pay more attention to the recommendations and proposals of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and branches. In particular, hoped that the delegation of National Assembly deputies of the province would have a voice so that the Central Government would approve the extension of the payment period for support to people from the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A.

Concluding the working session, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Thai Thanh Quy highly appreciated the efforts, determination as well as the results of directing and operating the socio-economic development plan for the first 9 months of 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee and Departments and branches. He requested attention to resolving voters' recommendations, especially the contents that voters have recommended for a long time, the backlog within the scope of resolution. Regarding the backlog, difficulties, and problems after the resettlement of Ban Ve hydropower plant, which are under the scope of the Provincial People's Committee and localities, it is necessary to focus on directing and resolving them thoroughly. Issues and contents under central authority need to be closely followed up and proposed for resolution.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Thanh Quy requested the Office of the National Assembly Delegation to synthesize recommendations and proposals, especially reports reflecting recommendations to the National Assembly, the Government and central ministries and branches to overcome difficulties and inadequacies of legal policies revealed through practical implementation in the locality. Along with that, synthesize and report on the process of resolving recommendations and proposals of ministries and branches.
