Youth delegation of Gyeongnam province, Korea exchange in Dong Nai

(DN) - On the afternoon of August 11, a youth delegation from Gyeongnam province, South Korea, led by Mr. Lee Sang Jin, Deputy Head of Youth Policy Department, Department of Education and Youth of Gyeongnam province, paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches and organizations of Dong Nai province.

Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Park Sung Jin, Chief Representative of Gyeongnam Province Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations of the province received the delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang informed about the situation of Dong Nai province after the merger, the potential for economic development, investment attraction... In order to enhance understanding between the people of Vietnam and Korea, since 2016, Dong Nai province has established the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association with more than 500 members.

Dong Nai province and Gyeongnam province have established a friendly cooperative relationship since 1996. Over nearly 3 decades, the two sides have continuously promoted cooperation in many fields, especially trade, investment, education, people-to-people exchange... The cultural exchange program of Gyeongnam province's youth union in Dong Nai this time is an opportunity for the young generation - those who will inherit and develop the cooperative relationship in the future - to exchange and learn from each other. From there, it will continue to be a practical bridge to further promote the friendly cooperative relationship between the two localities in the coming time.

During the exchange in Dong Nai (from August 11 to 14), the youth delegation of Gyeongnam province, South Korea will participate in many exchange activities, experience and learn about the land and people of Dong Nai. These include offering incense, experiencing Vietnamese Ao Dai; visiting, learning and taking photos at Tran Bien Temple of Literature; visiting Dong Nai Museum; visiting and experiencing games and cuisine at Son Tien Tourist Area; learning about Bien Hoa pottery; exchanging with students of Ngo Quyen High School...
