Unique series of colorful graduation projects of HUTECH Graphic Design students

For HUTECH Graphic Design students, doing all the steps themselves, bringing a series of impressive and "flexible" projects to a large audience is not difficult to see and is almost a mandatory requirement right from the first year. In each subject such as Basics of Graphic Design, Research on Traditional National Capital, Fine Arts, Typography, Packaging Design, Layout Design, Brand Identity Design, Information Graphics Design, etc., students are all able to practice graphic publications to gradually build skills, understand the profession, nurture and develop creative thinking, ready to give birth to the most perfect brainchildren, and the graduation project is the product of the dedication of that training process.

These graduation projects are inspired by a variety of topics in life, from famous historical and cultural figures to familiar foods and things including ramen noodles, fruit beer, Monopoly, the Zoo, coffee, online games, folk games, 63 provinces and cities, etc.

Students get ideas from a variety of topics.

From a rich source of materials, future designers apply and combine to create unique design products such as: illustration of the book Luom, illustration of the concept of the 2D Indie game, illustration of the concept of the mobile game Meow truck, illustration of the story Co be tin hon, design of the brand identity of the Vietnamese-Japanese cat food packaging Pawily, design of the brand identity of the handmade flower shop flovely, design of the identity of the event "Coffee Story", design of the identity of the game set Monopoly Vietnamopoly,...

To bring these finished products, students personally carry out all the steps from choosing the topic, analyzing the brief, going through the steps of approving the outline, choosing materials and colors, and implementing the design in about 4 months. Sharing about the process of implementing the Newdawn game concept project, student Cao Tien Manh said: "To carry out the project, I went through steps such as coming up with ideas for the plot and characters; sketching pencil and shading according to the characteristics; coloring and rendering details; sketching the perspective, and the character in that perspective; coloring and rendering the final color. In particular, I have an additional step of making 3D characters and environments to help people understand the game better. Through this, I discovered my strengths, developed my skills, and knew how to arrange my time reasonably to complete the project items on time."

Along with the exhibition, students confidently presented their projects to the panel on the reasons for choosing the topic, market research, topic orientation, design sketches, etc. With their investment, serious attitude, unique and highly applicable ideas, personal implementation style and confident and fluent presentation skills, many students made a strong impression on the project evaluation panel, which were design experts from universities and businesses, and received many compliments.

Students' dedicated products are highly appreciated by experts.

Along with recognizing and praising the students' achievements, experts also gave specific suggestions for each project, shared valuable experiences on how to highlight messages through design products, address customer needs, etc. Through that, students learned more valuable practical information, solidified their knowledge and had more motivation to study and develop.

The graduation project defense is not only an opportunity for HUTECH Graphic Design students to introduce the results after a serious investment of brainpower and dedication, but also an opportunity for them to bring their finished products closer to the public. In each design, they have clearly demonstrated their solidity in expertise, confidence in skills and outstanding creativity. With a thorough preparation, HUTECH's future designers are ready to affirm their identity and shine in the modern media world with creative publications and projects that have a strong influence.
