Thai and Chinese football teams clash in Asian Cup C1

When the final whistle of the match between Zhejiang FC and Buriram United sounded, a brawl between players from both sides began.

Chinese media video shows Buriram United striker Ramil Sheydayev lunging at a Zhejiang FC player, grabbing him by the neck and knocking him to the ground. Seeing their teammate being attacked, Zhejiang FC players immediately chased after the Buriram United star.

Ramil Sheydayev received two consecutive kicks and many punches from Zhejiang FC players. The Azerbaijani striker was not to be outdone as he continued to fight back against his opponent.

Contrary to the information and images from the video of Chinese media, Thai newspaper Ball Thai asserted that it was Buriram United's Leo James who was provoked first. After that, this player was attacked by his opponent and Sheydayev was just the one who had a spontaneous attack.

Vuckic was the one who scored the opening goal for Buriram United. But the Southeast Asian representative could not maintain the result. Zhejiang FC scored 3 consecutive goals and took the lead against Buriram United. Lonsana's goal in the 87th minute was not enough for the away team to regain 1 point.

The defeat to Zhejiang FC significantly affected Buriram United's chances of advancing. They also had 6 points ahead of their opponents, but were 2 points behind the top teams Ventforet Kofu and Melbourne City (both with 8 points). In the final match, Buriram United will face Ventforet Kofu.
