The sim flowers have been privately planted on this hill for about 2 years now, and there is no entrance fee yet, so you can check in comfortably at any time. This September is the most special time when the sim flowers are in full bloom and the sea of clouds at Suoi Bon also appears more.
Quang Kien, a young man who works in tourism and photography in Moc Chau, shared: The best time to visit and take photos at Suoi Bon is from 5am to 10am or from 3pm to 6pm. You can camp or organize a picnic on the hill to enjoy the fresh air. However, remember not to litter, pick flowers, or break branches to keep the sim hill always bright.
The sea of clouds at Suoi Bon sim hill usually appears in the early morning from around 5am. White clouds float on the distant mountain and hilltops, the purple color of sim flowers sparkles in the morning light right below your feet creating a magical scene.
Sim flowers in Suoi Bon are a variety of ornamental sim with large, deep purple flowers grown in tourist areas, unlike the wild sim trees with small, light purple petals commonly found in the northern mountains.
Blackberry trees usually grow in bushes up to 1 meter high. Blackberry flowers love light and the sunnier the sky, the more brilliant the purple color. The flowers bloom for about 2 weeks at their peak and then gradually fade.
Visitors immerse themselves in the space of clouds, mountains and flowers at Suoi Bon sim hill.
“I have known about Suoi Bon for a few years now. The first time I came, I only knew about the vast purple sim hills. But surprisingly, I later discovered that Suoi Bon is an extremely beautiful cloud hunting spot. Luckily, on this trip in early September, I had the opportunity to capture both the sea of floating clouds and the purple sim flowers in full bloom,” Quang Kien recounted.
The weather in Van Ho, Moc Chau is starting to get chilly in the fall, alternating between sunny days and sudden rainy days. Quang Kien advises tourists to limit their visits to Suoi Bon sim hill on rainy days because the dirt trails are quite slippery.
Traveling to Son La in general and Moc Chau, Van Ho in particular in the fall, not only can you check in at the purple sim hill and hunt for clouds, you can also combine visiting waterfalls, rose gardens, tea hills, and terraced fields in the ripe rice season.
