Coach Mai Duc Chung said: “In the recent semi-final match against U23 Australia, the Vietnamese women's football team tried their best, but the opponent was too strong. Although we played better in the second half, football is sometimes cruel like that. The Vietnamese women's football team still has a third-place match ahead. Thai NT newspaper gave statistics that are disadvantageous to the Thai women's team: "In the last 10 encounters, the Thai women's team has shown to be inferior when facing the Vietnamese women's team.
