Yesterday afternoon (November 13), the Vietnamese team arrived in the Philippines and settled down at the 5-star New Coast Manila Hotel. That same evening, Coach Troussier's team put on their shoes and went to the Rizal Memorial Stadium (about 2 km from the hotel) to practice. This morning (November 14), the Vietnamese team continued to practice physical training at the hotel's gym. The players were instructed by the team's fitness expert to practice strength-building exercises.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese football fans are still anxiously waiting for the copyright to broadcast live the first match of Coach Troussier and his team on the away field, against the host Philippines. According to Thanh Nien sources, recently, a Vietnamese television station has been negotiating with the copyright holder of the Vietnam - Philippines match on November 16. And up to now, the negotiation is still ongoing and the two sides have not found a common voice.
In the Philippines, the Vietnamese team will practice all 3 sessions on the Rizal Memorial artificial turf field (official field). Before the match, Coach Troussier and his colleagues will have another round of screening to finalize the official list of 23 players. Thus, 5 more names will have to say goodbye to the Vietnamese team before entering the match against the Philippines.
