Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuc Truong, Political Commissar of Ga Ry Border Guard Station, said that at around 1 a.m. this morning, September 5, heavy rain caused a landslide in a residential area, completely sweeping away the kitchen and toilet of two households, Mr. Briu Mo and Mr. Briu Me (Arooi village).
Many household items, livestock and poultry were also buried, with total estimated damage of about 400 million VND.

Upon receiving the information, the Ga Ry Border Guard Station Command dispatched 20 officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinate with local authorities and residents to evacuate people, move property out of the dangerous area, and dismantle the remaining construction at risk of collapse.
In addition, the Command of Ga Ry Border Guard Station visited, encouraged and presented 2 gifts (worth 3 million VND) to affected households to share difficulties and help people overcome initial losses.
Currently, Ga Ry Border Guard Station continues to coordinate with Hung Son commune authorities to monitor weather developments, conduct surveys of areas at risk of landslides; at the same time, propagate and mobilize people to proactively prevent and be ready to evacuate when necessary.
