On March 19, 2025, at Thong Binh Border Post (Thong Binh commune, Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province), Song Trang Border Post (under Long An Border Guard Command) and Thong Binh Border Post (under Dong Thap Border Guard Command) held a conference to sign a contract to protect the border and adjacent areas between the two units in 2025.

In 2024, the two units have closely and regularly coordinated and cooperated in border protection work. The adjacent areas have always been controlled in a closed manner, without any loopholes or omissions; arising incidents have been well resolved, ensuring that no hot spots or complications are formed in the adjacent border areas. In addition, the two adjacent Border Control Stations also closely coordinated in border management and protection work.

At the conference, the two units frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the coming time and discussed and agreed on the key tasks of coordination in border management and protection in adjacent areas in 2025, which is to strengthen and promote border and area management and protection activities, actively and effectively fight and prevent enemy and subject activities, and maintain political security and social order and safety in the border area.

At the same time, coordinate patrols to protect the adjacent border sections; notify and coordinate to promptly and effectively resolve related incidents on the border sections, adjacent areas and fight against all types of crimes. Regularly coordinate to inspect and evaluate the results of task implementation between the two units during the month, and regularly maintain the coordination plan in accordance with regulations.
