The floods also flooded 3 schools; 16.5 hectares of rice, 1.5 hectares of vegetables, 0.5 hectares of forestry trees and 9 fish ponds with an area of 0.41 hectares were damaged and flooded. Many public works were affected such as the Commune Administrative Service Center, Lung Post Office ; domestic water works had broken pipes; some low-voltage electric poles were broken. In the area, there were 5 landslides with a volume of about 300m³ of earth and rock, 4 spillways were flooded, 1 iron bridge was swept away, and some roads were completely cut off.
To quickly overcome the consequences and help people stabilize their lives, Tam Hop Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard has urgently deployed natural disaster prevention plans, coordinated with local authorities to mobilize forces to support people in overcoming the consequences. Border Guards, militia, youth union members, and organizations have organized the evacuation of people and property from dangerous areas; set up checkpoints and placed warning signs at overflow bridges and flooded roads; and regularly patrolled and controlled key locations.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Son, Deputy Political Commissar of Tam Hop Border Guard Station, said that on the morning of October 4, officers and soldiers of Tam Hop Border Guard Station continued to coordinate with local forces to help people clear landslides, rebuild houses, stabilize their lives, and contribute to ensuring the safety of lives and property for people in flood-affected areas. In the immediate future, the forces will focus on clearing mud from schools so that students in the area can quickly return to school.
