10-day weather forecast from the night of February 6 to February 16 and news of the Northeast monsoon, cold

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a Northeast Monsoon bulletin and weather forecast for the next 10 days, from the night of February 6 to February 16, for Hanoi and the whole country.

Accordingly, by the afternoon of February 6, in the North, a cold air mass is moving south.

It is forecasted that in the evening and night of February 7, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region, the Northwest region and some places in the Central Central region. Inland, the Northeast wind will be strong at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3-4.

From the night of February 7, the weather in the Northeast region will turn cold; from February 8, it will be very cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold.

From February 8, the weather in the Northwest and North Central regions will turn cold. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North will generally be 11-13 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North from 8-10 degrees Celsius, in the high mountains below 5 degrees Celsius in some places; in the North Central region from 15-17 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological agency warned that the cold spell in the northeastern region is likely to last until around February 9.

From February 9, Quang Tri to Binh Dinh will have scattered showers, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The night and morning will be cold, and the mountainous areas will be chilly; on the night of February 7, the weather will turn cold; from February 8, it will be very cold, and some mountainous areas will be severely cold.

In the Northwest and North Central regions, from the night of February 8-9, there will be scattered rain and light rain. From the night of February 8-12, it will be cold, with severe cold in some places; from February 13, the night and morning will be cold.

The area from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh from around the night of February 8-12 will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain.

Other areas have no rain at night; sunny during the day, except in the Southeast where some places are hot.
