Promoting the tradition of studiousness
On the morning of September 29, a working delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, along with representatives from several ministries/sectors, the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group, and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, attended the inauguration ceremony of the STEM Education Practice Room at Tay Mo Secondary School and Tay Mo 3 Secondary School (Tay Mo Ward, Hanoi). This activity is in response to the STEM INNOVATION PETROVIETNAM Program launched by General Secretary To Lam.

Teacher Doan Thi Thanh Huong - Principal of Tay Mo Secondary School said that the Ministry of Education and Training has advocated STEM Education to become a trend of the times. STEM not only provides knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics but more importantly trains students in creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and cooperation skills - essential qualities of global citizens.

With the construction and use of modern STEM classrooms, the education sector is gradually moving towards a model of transnational, borderless classrooms, where students can connect, exchange and study with international friends. This opens up opportunities for them to become global students, confidently integrating and affirming Vietnam's position in human knowledge.
Promoting the roots of studiousness and carrying within them the aspiration to reach far, up to now, the two schools have received STEM education practice rooms - 2 of the first 7 STEM classrooms in the country, modern and meeting international standards. The classrooms are equipped with modern machinery systems such as computers, laser cutters, microscopes, laboratory equipment, tools for manufacturing, assembling... worth over 3 billion VND.

"Teachers and students of Tay Mo Secondary School and Tay Mo 3 Secondary School will continue to promote the tradition of studiousness, constantly innovate and create, build the school into a modern, integrated educational model, and train a generation of students to develop comprehensively so that each student today will be a global citizen tomorrow, worthy of being a citizen of the studious land of the 'Four Famous Fragrances'" - teacher Doan Thi Thanh Huong expressed.
The State always cares about Education

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that we are living in an era of strong development of science and technology. Innovating teaching methods in the direction of STEM, supporting schools to build modern research and learning spaces, promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity has always been a concern of the Party and State leaders in order to train high-quality human resources to serve the country's development.
From his work experience and his travels around the world, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that any country with good training facilities and creativity will help that country develop. If Vietnam wants to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers, schools need to be equipped with the best learning conditions for both teachers and students.

These policies and guidelines would be difficult to implement without the consensus of parents and the whole society; the cooperation of all levels of government; the contribution of the community, businesses and people. The opening of two STEM Education practice rooms today demonstrates the very active participation of teachers and students.
"I appreciate the practical and effective support of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group for today's event. This is a typical example of implementing the policy of socialization and diversification of investment resources for education that the Government is strongly directing. The social responsibility of enterprises is an important resource to take care of the future generations of our country," Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son shared.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son noted that schools need to create conditions for students to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in the new era through practice in laboratories. Recently, Vietnamese students have continuously won high-level international awards in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology... all of which are equipped in STEM practice rooms.

I believe that with this synchronous investment in facilities, you will actively strive to study, research, innovate and be more creative to follow in the footsteps of previous generations in conquering new heights of human knowledge, bringing glory to the Fatherland and homeland with valuable awards, demonstrating Vietnamese mettle and intelligence," Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son wished.
