Dr. Pham Tan Ha, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the university determines the benchmark score according to the admission combination. Therefore, the benchmark score for each major may differ between the combinations depending on the major. In particular, the expected benchmark score for the C00 group (literature, history, geography) this year has a strong shift in the direction of increase. Especially for majors with moderate benchmark scores in previous years, the benchmark score may increase by 1-2 or 2-3 depending on the admission combination.
"The industries that had benchmark scores of 20-21 last year can increase to 22-23 this year," Mr. Ha gave an example.
According to Dr. Pham Tan Ha, the groups of majors with top benchmark scores will not change much. Some majors will have benchmark scores increase and some will have benchmark scores decrease, but the change will only be within 2 decimal places.
"Currently, the virtual selection process for national admission will undergo four rounds in the next few days. The school's benchmark will only change if other schools make strong adjustments to their admission scores when conducting virtual selection in the future. But most likely, the school's benchmark, if adjusted, will be higher than this level," predicted the Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2022, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities will set the admission score for the high school graduation exam from 20 to 28.25 points depending on the major. The 10 majors with the highest admission score combinations include: Journalism, tourism and travel services management, multimedia communications, psychology, information management, office administration, international relations, English, Japanese studies, and Vietnamese studies. Of which, journalism (combination C00) has the highest admission score of 28.25 points.
