4 categories include: Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination 2025 - Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination (winning for 4 consecutive years, from 2022 - 2025); Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination 2025 - Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination (winning for 4 consecutive years, from 2022 - 2025); Asia's Leading City Tourist Board 2025 - Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency (under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, winning for 3 consecutive years: 2023, 2024, 2025); Asia's Leading Coastal City Break Destination 2025 - Asia's Leading Short Break Destination (under Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - honored for the first time).

The consecutive honors at WTA are a clear demonstration of the prestige, attractiveness and sustainable development potential of Ho Chi Minh City tourism. This achievement is not only the result of efforts to improve service quality and diversify tourism products, but also affirms the image of a dynamic, modern, creative city that is still imbued with cultural identity. This is the "magnet" that helps Ho Chi Minh City maintain its special appeal to domestic and international tourists.

Notably, Vung Tau – now part of Ho Chi Minh City after the administrative boundary merger – won the award for the first time in the category of “Top Short-Term Resort Destination in Asia’s Leading Coastal City”. This title not only highlights the image of Vietnam’s sea and island tourism but also opens up opportunities to promote Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism brand more strongly on the regional and world tourism map.

The success at the international awards took place in the context of Ho Chi Minh City tourism recording impressive growth. In the first 9 months of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed nearly 5.3 million international visitors and 32 million domestic visitors. Total tourism revenue reached more than 162 trillion VND, very close to the 2025 target of 7 million international visitors and 40 million domestic visitors.

These telling numbers affirm the strong attraction and role of Ho Chi Minh City as a "super tourist city", the center of the identity triangle: culture - rivers - modernity.

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism shared: "Continuing to be recognized by the international community at the World Travel Awards 2025 is a great honor, and at the same time a driving force for the city's tourism industry to constantly innovate and create. We aim to make Ho Chi Minh City a leading tourism center in the Asia - Pacific region."

The Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism added that these four noble awards are an important step in the strategy of promoting the brand “Vibrant Ho Chi Minh City” – the image of an attractive, friendly, integrated and vibrant destination.
