After the 32nd SEA Games ended, the Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club held a ceremony to honor the athletes of the team that had just achieved high results in the tournament in Cambodia. These athletes included Tran Mai Ngoc and Dinh Anh Hoang, who won the gold medal in the mixed doubles, along with Le Dinh Duc, who won the bronze medal in the men's team event.

Tran Mai Ngoc and Dinh Anh Hoang each received a prize of 250 million VND from the T&T Group, while Le Dinh Duc received 50 million VND. In addition, the group's chairman, Mr. Do Quang Hien, also said that some sponsors and partners will also send additional cash and in-kind prizes to the athletes.

The group's leaders also awarded the coaching staff of the Hanoi T&T table tennis team and the coaching staff of the Vietnam table tennis team. The total bonus announced at the ceremony was 1 billion 150 million VND.

Tran Mai Ngoc shared that this is the largest amount of money she has ever received and she will open a savings account to later open a table tennis teaching club:

"The coach did not mention the achievements in the tournament, so I tried to compete and learn. I was not too confident, I just tried my best in each match, not caring about winning or losing. Before the 32nd SEA Games, I did not think about winning a gold medal, but only thought about striving to the best of my ability to contribute to the fans. Regarding my goals after the tournament, I did not put too much emphasis on achievements, I wanted to try to train my physical strength more. I joined the Hanoi T&T Club when I was 8 years old. I remember the first time I went to Hanoi, I missed my parents so much, I often cried because I wanted to go home. But when I thought about it again, I tried to stay and compete, from there I earned money to bring back to my family. With the reward I received today from the T&T Group, I will send part of it to my parents, and I will open a savings account to open a club and teach table tennis later."

For Dinh Anh Hoang, the 22-year-old from Dak Lak joined the Hanoi T&T table tennis team in 2010. He said the success of himself and his partner Tran Mai Ngoc came from the understanding that both players had built up over a long period of time.

Mr. Hoang said: "We have been training together for 8 years. Coach Vu Manh Cuong has combined the two of us to play together in domestic national championships. The understanding between Ngoc and I comes from living together, training together and being able to share many things with each other. As two athletes like Ngoc and I, we are both very young, so we have a lot of pressure, so if we want to prove ourselves, we have to free ourselves from the pressure."

At the 32nd SEA Games, Tran Mai Ngoc and Dinh Anh Hoang defeated the Singaporean pair of Clarance Zhe Yu Chew and Jian Zeng to win the championship. This is a historic gold medal because after 26 years, the table tennis team has achieved this achievement in the mixed team category. On June 3, all three players Mai Ngoc, Anh Hoang and Dinh Duc will go to the US for training for 2 weeks.
