On the morning of October 3, at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Stadium, the third season of the "Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025" officially kicked off.
The Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is an annual tournament jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the Vietnam Football Federation and Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
Entering the 3rd season, the Tournament continues to affirm its role as a healthy and beneficial sports playground, creating opportunities for exchange, health training, and improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu, Head of the tournament's Steering Committee, emphasized: After two seasons, the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025 has become a useful and healthy playground and a place for exchange, meeting, sharing, inspiration and motivation for workers and civil servants nationwide.

At the same time, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said: The tournament is meaningful towards the 14th National Party Congress and organizes practical activities to implement major programs, resolutions, orientations and policies of the Party and State, as well as the context of the whole country focusing on implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus.
"We expect the tournament to continue to promote the results achieved in the previous two tournaments and create new colors and new values. We believe that through the tournament, we will continue to affirm the stature and health of civil servants nationwide," comrade Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized.
The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament will go through two stages. The qualifying round will be held in the northern region (Hanoi) and the southern region (Ho Chi Minh City) to select the 16 best teams to qualify for the National Finals, taking place at the end of October in Ho Chi Minh City.

The northern region qualifying round gathered 16 participating teams including: Bac Ninh 1 Trade Union, Vietnam Education Trade Union, Ninh Binh Trade Union, Hai Phong City Trade Union, Dien Bien Trade Union, Hung Yen Trade Union, Hanoi City Trade Union, Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union, Phu Tho Trade Union, Vietnam Health Trade Union, People's Public Security Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union, Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union, State Bank, VPBank, Agribank.
The 16 teams will be divided into four groups, playing a round robin to select the four group winners and four group runners-up to enter the Quarterfinals.
The Quarterfinals are held in a knockout format. The four teams that advance to the Semifinals will also receive tickets to the National Finals. Meanwhile, the four teams that fail to make it to the Quarterfinals will continue to compete in a play-off to choose the remaining two tickets to the Finals.
The total prize of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament in the northern region qualifiers is up to 170 million VND. Of which, the Regional Qualifiers Champion team receives 60 million VND, the Second Place team receives 40 million VND, and the Third Place team each receives 20 million VND.
In addition, the Regional Qualifiers also have many other awards such as Best Player, Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Fairplay Team, Most Impressive Cheerleading Team, Best Referee Team. Each award is worth 5 million VND.
In addition to organizing football competitions, in the qualifying and final round competition areas, the Organizing Committee implements online interactive activities such as voting for beautiful goals or direct interactive activities in the organizing area such as: free examination and consultation on sports medicine and musculoskeletal diseases; discount booths, minigames to receive attractive gifts... to take care of the cultural and spiritual life of workers, attracting audiences to the stadium to watch and cheer.
