EVN recommends Quang Tri to support procedures at Quang Trach Power Center

On September 26, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) had just had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee regarding the implementation of dynamic energy projects in Quang Tri province.

According to EVN's report, in Quang Tri province, dynamic energy projects are currently being implemented, including: Quang Trach Power Center Project, Quang Tri Thermal Power Plant Project and AMI Savannakhet Wind Power Project.

In which, Quang Trach Power Center Project has 4 component projects, including: Infrastructure of Quang Trach Power Center, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, Quang Trach II LNG Thermal Power Plant and Quang Trach III LNG Thermal Power Plant.

Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, Deputy General Director of EVN spoke at the meeting.

According to EVN's representative, in recent times, Quang Tri province has paid attention to, helped, and directed the implementation of dynamic energy projects in the province, especially in terms of site clearance compensation and creating favorable conditions to ensure construction for projects under Quang Trach Power Center.

To continue implementing projects smoothly, effectively and on schedule, EVN leaders proposed that the People's Committee of Quang Tri province consider supporting a number of related issues such as: Speeding up the appraisal and approval of compensation plans for outstanding cases; promptly handing over complete compensation and site clearance documents for completed site clearance items, and preparing a confirmation report as a basis for EVN to complete procedures according to current regulations.

Consider assigning the task of implementing the site clearance for the road to Quang Trach Industrial Zone from National Highway 1; pay attention to support to soon complete the approval of specialized reports...

At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches and localities of Quang Tri province also raised some difficulties and problems in the implementation process and presented the expected plan to deploy projects in the coming time.

Talking with investors, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam acknowledged EVN's efforts in implementing dynamic energy projects in the province in recent times as well as highly appreciated the analytical reports and clear recommendations on the difficulties of each project and construction of EVN and related units.

To effectively and timely implement dynamic energy projects, Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam requested EVN to closely coordinate with units and localities to review implementation plans.

The provincial leaders assigned relevant localities to proactively coordinate with departments, branches and investors to speed up site clearance work; at the same time, assigned specific tasks to agencies, units and localities to work with EVN to urgently remove obstacles for each project to speed up construction progress, soon complete power supply projects in the province, contributing to bringing many benefits and socio -economic development to the locality and the country.
