On June 26, news from EVNSPC said that the unit has prepared a plan to ensure safe and stable power supply for more than 600 exam and grading sites for the high school graduation exam and university and vocational education entrance exam in 2024.

Previously, EVNSPC directed Power Companies in 21 southern provinces and cities to coordinate with local authorities, educational institutions, schools, etc. to develop and implement plans to ensure power supply during the 2024 high school graduation exam in the area, ensuring suitability and safety.

Power units under EVNSPC arrange reasonable power source and grid operation methods to ensure safety and reliability under normal conditions and flexible switching in case of incidents; prioritize ensuring electricity at the exam question-making locations of the Ministry of Education and Training, exam question printing locations, exam organization and grading locations in provinces and cities.

Ready to ensure electricity supply for 2024 exams in southern provinces

EVNSPC also directed the City, Town, District and County Power Companies to proactively work and coordinate with the Steering Committee and local Examination Councils to grasp the list, locations and electricity usage needs, ensuring stable electricity supply; develop plans and organize to ensure electricity at the locations of exam questions of the Ministry of Education and Training, locations of exam questions printing, exam organization and grading locations in provinces and cities. Electricity units must ensure 24/24 hour electricity at locations of exam questions printing.

In addition, the Electricity sector also organizes on-site incident handling and electrical repairs during the 2024 high school graduation exam and university and vocational education entrance exam at the exam venues and the working locations of the Steering Committee and Examination Council. Prepare sufficient personnel, materials, equipment, means of transport, and backup generators to promptly handle incidents, switch operating methods, or run backup generators, and quickly restore power to exam venues when incidents occur.

In particular, EVNSPC did not implement the planned power supply reduction that affected the power supply to the above locations from 0:00 on June 26 to 24:00 on June 29 (except for incident handling). Update statistical data of all exam invigilation and grading locations in provinces and cities; organize on-site incident handling and electrical repairs during the exam at exam locations and working locations of the Steering Committee and Examination Council.

Units under EVNSPC are also ready, preparing enough manpower, materials, equipment, means of transport, diesel generators to urgently handle incidents, convert operating methods or run backup generators, quickly restore power to exam locations when incidents occur.
