The Red River Festival 2025 is a practical activity to celebrate the success of the 1st Lao Cai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Accordingly, the Red River Festival 2025 will take place from November 18 to 24. The Opening Ceremony, scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 19, at Nam Cuong Square, Cam Duong Ward, with a ceremony, a special art program and a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display, will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television. About 500 invited delegates are expected, including leaders of the Party, State, ministries and international guests such as ambassadors from France, China, Denmark, India, Thailand, Laos and a delegation from Yunnan province.
Within the framework of the Festival, there will be special activities: experiencing the national cultural space from November 18 to 24, at Kim Tan Square, organizing 13 exhibition spaces, reenacting cultural rituals, performing folk songs and dances, handicrafts, typical OCOP products. Activities to display documents and artifacts about the Red River culture and cooperation in developing the Red River basin and Yunnan - China.
Along with that, in the Coc Leu market area and An Duong Vuong street, "The old Coc Leu market" will be recreated with the ancient market cultural space, daily life, trading and folk games. Vietnam - China sports exchange activities, 11-a-side football exchange competition between business and youth teams of Lao Cai province and Yunnan province at Lao Cai Provincial Stadium. Organizing the "Red River Festival" Golf Tournament 2025; "One track, two countries" international cycling race (Hong Ha - Lao Cai) from November 28 - 30; and the 2025 Lao Cai Shan Tuyet Tea Festival in Van Chan commune with the theme "Tea scent in the clouds"...
The Red River Festival 2025 is an event of important political , diplomatic, economic and cultural significance, contributing to creating momentum to promote economic growth, expand cooperation and foreign relations between Lao Cai, the provinces of the Red River basin of Vietnam and Yunnan province, China. At the same time, it affirms the strategic position of Lao Cai, honors the unique cultural values of the Red River civilization, educates the tradition of national solidarity and arouses pride in the history of Lao Cai.
