Nearly 96% of people participate in health insurance

As of October 2025, the entire Tuyen Quang province had 1,788,140 people out of 1,865,270 people participating in health insurance (HI), accounting for 95.9% of the population, exceeding the target assigned by the Prime Minister and being in the group of provinces with a high rate of people participating in HI in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

Doctors and nurses from Tuyen Quang Provincial General Hospital, Hoang Su Phi General Hospital and Hoang Su Phi Medical Center participated in examining and giving medicine to people in Thanh Tin commune.

This result is thanks to the synchronous participation of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations in propaganda and mobilization work to help people understand their rights and responsibilities when participating in health insurance. The Social Insurance Department of Tuyen Quang province has proactively coordinated with the health sector to expand the network of collection agents, creating favorable conditions for people to access services. Medical examination and treatment facilities have been invested in, upgraded equipment, promoted administrative procedure reform, and improved service quality.

According to statistics from the Social Insurance Department of Tuyen Quang province, the whole province currently has 4.1% of the population not participating in health insurance, mainly freelance workers and people in remote areas. Therefore, in the coming time, the Provincial Social Insurance will continue to promote the propaganda of the universal health insurance policy, aiming to maintain and improve the quality of health care for the people, ensuring that all people enjoy the social security policies of the Party and the State. The province's goal by 2030 will be to cover the entire population with health insurance.
