On the afternoon of October 3, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son chaired a conference to deploy preparations for the 2025 Autumn Fair.
The conference was organized in a combination of in-person and online formats, connecting the main bridge from the Government headquarters with bridges in localities across the country.
The 2025 Autumn Fair is scheduled to take place at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ), from October 26 to November 4, 2025.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 9am on Sunday, October 26, and is expected to be a large-scale trade promotion activity, connecting businesses, promoting product consumption, contributing to achieving the economic growth target of over 8% in 2025, creating a solid foundation for the 2026-2030 period.
The objective of the Fair is to create a concentrated trade promotion channel, create an environment to connect supply and demand, stimulate consumption, promote production and business, expand import and export and attract investment.
Affirming that this will be the largest fair ever, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son said that the fair is expected to use the entire Kim Quy Exhibition House with a floor area of up to 100,000 m2, corresponding to 3,000 standard booths.
The proposed fair will be arranged into 5 main zones including "Industry, trade, services - Prosperous autumn"; "Cultural industry - The first golden season"; "Quintessence of Hanoi's autumn"; "Vietnamese autumn - The color and fragrance of autumn" and "Family autumn."
At the meeting, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on the progress of preparation work.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, ministries, branches, Hanoi city and Vingroup Corporation in developing the organization project.
Vingroup Corporation announced sponsorship of a consulting package for overall design, detailed design, identification system, floor plan of each subdivision; free use of premises and costs for electricity, water, sanitation, and security services.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that units need to clearly understand the viewpoint that the Fair is not only for displaying and promoting products, but more importantly for commercializing, signing contracts, and selling products from regions across the country.
Ministries, branches and localities are required to mobilize the widest participation, including all ministries, branches, provinces, cities and the business community (state-owned, private and FDI enterprises).
Participating products need to be rich and diverse, promoting the strengths of each region.
Emphasizing the huge amount of preparation work while there are only more than 3 weeks left until the opening day, the Deputy Prime Minister gave specific instructions with an urgent deadline.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade completed the Project to organize the 2025 Autumn Fair to submit to the Head of the Fair Steering Committee for approval on October 4.
Vietnam Exhibition Joint Stock Company (VEC) urgently completes the overall design and subdivision diagrams no later than October 6.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that localities send focal officers to urgently contact VEC to receive the site by October 6 at the latest, and proactively develop design and construction plans immediately.
Regarding funding, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that localities in need of financial support from the central budget send their budget estimates to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the morning of October 4.
Vingroup and VEC need to notify in writing any expenses, if any, before October 6.
The Hanoi People's Committee and VEC are assigned the responsibility of ensuring absolute safety in terms of security, safety, environmental sanitation, food hygiene and health.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested ministries, branches and localities to proactively promote propaganda and provide information to press agencies (such as Vietnam News Agency, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, Government Electronic Information Portal) to spread information before, during and after the Fair.
Regarding the long-term vision, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Ministry of Industry and Trade research and develop more suitable fair models, upgrading the Autumn Fair to regional and international level after this event./.
