Rice price today October 10: Jasmine rice drops sharply

In the Mekong Delta region, rice prices continued to remain unchanged for the third consecutive day on October 10. OM 380 raw rice was purchased at around VND7,800 – VND7,900/kg, while OM 5451 fluctuated at VND8,100 – VND8,250/kg.

By-products such as OM 5451 broken rice remain stable at 7,250 - 7,350 VND/kg, while bran prices remain at 6,700 - 6,800 VND/kg.

In An Giang , the prices of Dai Thom 8 and OM 18 (fresh) rice are both in the range of 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; IR 50404 is at 5,000 - 5,200 VND/kg; OM 5451 is from 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg; OM 308 is traded at 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg.

Localities such as Can Tho, Dong Thap and Ca Mau also recorded slow transactions due to reduced rice supply and weak purchasing by traders, causing prices to remain stable.

In the retail rice market, market prices remained almost unchanged. Nang Nhen rice remained at the highest level of VND28,000/kg, Huong Lai at VND22,000/kg, Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuated at VND16,000 - VND18,000/kg, and common white rice was around VND16,000/kg. Imported specialty rice lines such as Thai rice, Japanese rice and Soc Thai rice continued to maintain VND20,000 - VND22,000/kg.

According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), stable domestic prices help farmers and businesses be more proactive in preparing for the new harvest, even though exports are under downward pressure.

Agricultural product prices today October 10, 2025: Prices of rice, rubber, coffee, pepper, and live pigs

In the export market, Vietnamese rice prices on October 10 recorded a clear differentiation between varieties. 5% broken white rice was offered at 374-378 USD/ton, a slight decrease of 1 USD/ton. Jasmine rice, a high-value variety, fell sharply by 5 USD/ton, down to only 486-490 USD/ton. In contrast, 5% broken fragrant rice remained stable at 430-450 USD/ton.

Some other types have small adjustments: 100% broken rice increased by 1 USD/ton, reaching 312 - 316 USD/ton, while 5% broken fragrant rice fluctuated at 440 - 465 USD/ton. This fluctuation is said to be the result of the world rice market being affected by global trade fluctuations and import policy changes in many countries.

Prices in other major exporting countries such as India and Thailand also fell. India’s 5% broken white rice fell $7 per ton to $365-$369 per ton, while Thai rice fell $3 per ton to $336-$340 per ton, the lowest in nearly nine years. In contrast, Pakistan saw a slight increase to $348-$352 per ton.

Rubber price today October 10: Market bounces back thanks to oil price recovery

In the international market, rubber prices continued to record an upward trend, especially in Japan, where the weakening Yen and rising crude oil prices have motivated investors to increase purchases.

The rubber contract for March 2026 delivery on the Osaka Exchange (OSE) closed at 306.9 yen/kg, up 3.5 yen (equivalent to 1.15%) compared to the previous session. The October contract also increased slightly to 302.8 yen/kg.

In Thailand, October rubber futures fell slightly by 0.7% to 66.92 baht/kg, while China recorded a 1.44% decrease to 14,265 yuan/ton on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE).

In Singapore, the November rubber contract on SICOM remained unchanged at 170.4 US cents/kg, while the October TSR20 contract edged down to 170 cents/kg.

According to analysts, the recovery of the energy market is an important factor supporting rubber prices. Rising crude oil prices have pushed up the cost of producing synthetic rubber, thereby helping natural rubber benefit.

However, the market remains cautious due to unstable demand for automobile production in major economies and risks to global growth prospects.

In Vietnam, domestic rubber prices have improved as many businesses have simultaneously increased their purchase prices of raw latex.

At Ba Ria Rubber Company, the price of latex was listed at 415 VND/degree TSC/kg, an increase of 10 VND compared to the previous period. DRC latex (35-44%) increased by 800 VND, reaching 15,000 VND/kg, while raw latex increased by 1,000 VND to 20,000 VND/kg.

At MangYang Rubber Company, the price of latex fluctuates at 398-403 VND/TSC, while mixed latex increased slightly to 365-416 VND/DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber Company maintains the price of 390 VND/DRC for mixed latex and 420 VND/TSC for water latex.

Binh Long Rubber Company kept the price stable at 422 VND/degree TSC/kg at the factory, 412 VND/degree TSC/kg at the production team, and 60% DRC mixed latex at 14,000 VND/kg.

Pig price today October 10: South drops sharply

The domestic pig price market on the morning of October 10 recorded a downward trend in all three regions.

In the North, the common purchase price is only 53,000 - 54,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Some localities such as Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Hanoi have all reduced prices, while Ninh Binh still maintains the highest level in the region at 55,000 VND/kg. On the contrary, Lai Chau, Son La and Dien Bien have dropped to the lowest level in the North, only 53,000 VND/kg.

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the price of live pigs decreased slightly by VND1,000/kg in many places. Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces are currently trading around VND51,000 - 52,000/kg, while Gia Lai recorded the lowest price in the region at VND50,000/kg.

Most notably, the southern region saw the sharpest price drop during the day. Dong Thap and An Giang are now down to 52,000 – 53,000 VND/kg, Ca Mau is down to 54,000 VND/kg, and Vinh Long has dropped sharply to 50,000 VND/kg – the lowest in the country.

Some places like Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho still maintain the level of 54,000 VND/kg, but the downward trend is still widespread.

Durian price today October 10: Black Thorn leads, market stable at high level

The durian market price today continues to maintain a stable trend, showing that supply and demand are balanced. In the Western region, many warehouses purchase Black Thorn durian at a price of up to 220,000 VND/kg, the highest among the current durian varieties.

In key growing areas in the Southwest, Ri6 durian type A is purchased at 75,000 - 85,000 VND/kg, type B fluctuates at 60,000 - 65,000 VND/kg, and type C is around 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg. Thai durian type A reaches 92,000 - 95,000 VND/kg, while Musang King remains around 130,000 - 140,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast, durian prices are stable at a high level. Ri6 type A fluctuates between 42,000 and 48,000 VND/kg, while Thai VIP A durian reaches 115,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands, the region is entering the main harvest season, the price of good quality Thai durian ranges from 90,000 - 106,000 VND/kg, VIP type reaches 120,000 VND/kg, leading the country in terms of purchase price.

In the international market, Indonesia is promoting direct durian exports to China, instead of going through intermediaries as before.

According to Indonesia’s Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono, most of the country’s durians were previously exported to Thailand for re-export, leaving farmers with only about 10% of the profits. Direct exports can increase profits by up to 30%.

According to data from Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2024, the country exported about 600 tons of durian, worth 1.8 million USD, mainly to Thailand and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, China imported up to 15.6 billion kg of durian in 2024, an increase of nearly 10% over the previous year, with a total value of nearly 7 billion USD, showing huge consumption demand from this market.

Coffee price today October 10: Domestic price increased by 1,000 VND/kg

In the domestic market, the price of Central Highlands coffee on the morning of October 10 increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 114,000 - 115,000 VND/kg.

Dak Nong and Dak Lak are currently leading at VND115,000/kg, while Gia Lai reached VND114,500/kg and Lam Dong recorded VND114,000/kg. This is the second consecutive increase in a week, reflecting the recovery of the world market as well as the shortage of goods before the new harvest.

In the international market, coffee prices moved in opposite directions between the two major exchanges. In London, the Robusta contract for November 2025 delivery closed at $4,560 per ton, up 0.4% (equivalent to $18 per ton) from the previous session. However, the January 2026 contract fell slightly by 0.13% to $4,478 per ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York floor, Arabica coffee continued to decline, with the December 2025 contract losing 1.63% to 378.8 US cents/pound, and the March 2026 contract falling 1.59% to 362.1 US cents/pound. The difference between the two coffee lines clearly reflects the difference in supply and demand for each type in the global market.

According to traders, the increase in domestic coffee prices comes from limited supply as the 2025-2026 harvest has not yet begun, while export orders are still abundant. Many roasters in Europe and the US are rushing to buy for storage, causing a sharp increase in demand pressure.

Pepper price today October 10: Strong increase, approaching 150,000 VND/kg

Pepper prices this morning saw a clear increase, with an adjustment of up to 2,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. In many key areas, pepper prices are currently fluctuating between 146,000 - 149,000 VND/kg, reflecting strong demand from domestic and foreign markets.

Specifically, Dak Lak kept the price stable at 148,000 VND/kg, Gia Lai maintained 146,000 VND/kg, and Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) fluctuated around 148,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast, the increase was more evident when Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) and Dong Nai both rose to 149,000 VND/kg, an increase of 2,500 VND. Binh Phuoc alone recorded a smaller increase, reaching 147,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND compared to the previous day.

In the international market, the International Pepper Association (IPC) announced that the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) reached 7,253 USD/ton, up 0.28% compared to the previous session.

Meanwhile, other major producing countries kept prices stable: Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at US$6,200/ton, and Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) at US$9,500/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper remains in the range of 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l. In the white pepper segment, Muntok (Indonesia) reached 10,119 USD/ton, up 0.28%; Malaysia ASTA remained at 12,500 USD/ton, while Vietnam was stable at around 9,250 USD/ton.
