According to records, WTI crude oil price in the first session of the week decreased to 80.296 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.37%; Brent oil price decreased to 84.775 USD/barrel, a decrease of 0.35% compared to the previous trading session.
According to the latest updated data of Oil Price, the world crude oil price increased by 3.34%, Brent oil increased by 3.30% compared to the previous month. Compared to the same period last year, crude oil price increased sharply by 15.49% and Brent oil increased by 14.19%.
Crude oil prices edged lower but remained at a seven-week high, boosted by falling US inventories and escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Data released Thursday showed U.S. crude inventories fell 2.547 million barrels last week, exceeding forecasts for a 2 million-barrel decline. U.S. gasoline and distillate inventories also unexpectedly fell, pointing to strong energy demand.
In the domestic market, speaking with Lao Dong, a petroleum business in Hanoi said that in the upcoming adjustment period (Thursday, June 27), the prices of E5RON95 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, and DO oil are expected to increase simultaneously.
Of which, RON95 gasoline is forecast to increase by 400-500 VND/liter; E5RON92 gasoline is forecast to increase by 500 VND/liter; DO oil is forecast to increase by 250 VND/liter. The above forecasted prices do not take into account the management or allocation of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund by the authorities.
Last week, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance adjusted domestic gasoline prices up for the second consecutive time. Of which, the price of E5RON92 gasoline will not exceed VND21,508/liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline will not exceed VND22,466/liter. The price of DO oil will not exceed VND20,360/liter. The price of kerosene will not exceed VND20,356/liter. The price of fuel oil will not exceed VND17,223/kg.
Compared to the old price, E5RON92 gasoline price increased by more than 198 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 231 VND/liter, Diesel oil increased sharply by over 720 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 497 VND/liter, mazut oil increased by 334 VND.
Up to now, domestic gasoline prices have been adjusted 25 times since the beginning of 2024.
