Domestic gasoline prices fell sharply in today's management period (September 12), in which gasoline products all decreased by more than 1,000 VND per liter.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, from 3:00 p.m., the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND1,089, down to VND18,890/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND1,192/liter, the new price is VND19,635/liter.
In addition, oil products also decreased, of which diesel oil decreased by 927 VND/liter to 17,165 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 934 VND, the new price is 17,790 VND/liter and fuel oil decreased by 688 VND, to 14,467 VND/kg. During this management period, the joint ministries continued not to set aside and not to use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.
A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,079 billion VND, unchanged from the announcement last week.
Most recently (September 5), E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND353/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND282/liter; diesel oil decreased by VND385/liter; kerosene decreased by VND341/liter, and mazut oil decreased by VND407/kg.
According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.
In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
