The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices will decrease from 3 p.m. today (September 25).
Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline has a ceiling price of 19,618 VND/liter, down 368 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,165 VND/liter, down 443 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on September 18. Sharing the same downward trend as gasoline prices, diesel oil prices decreased by 47 VND/liter, down to 18,658 VND/liter. Kerosene prices increased by 84 VND/liter, the new price is 18,628 VND/liter, mazut oil increased by 79 VND, up to 15,209 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged, with no deductions or expenditures for petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that up to the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,085 billion VND, unchanged.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.
In the most recent adjustment on September 18, gasoline prices increased, specifically E5RON92 gasoline increased by VND230/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND208/liter, diesel increased by VND62/liter; kerosene increased by VND176/liter and mazut increased by VND40/kg.
According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday./.
