At around 4:30 p.m. on October 1, at residential area group 3, Tra Linh commune, authorities promptly and successfully rescued a man in a dangerous situation due to flood.

Forces reached and successfully rescued people trapped in the flood.

Mr. Lieu Van Ru, born in 1977, residing in Lung Hong hamlet, Thuong Thon, Ha Quang commune, came to work and stay in residential area group 3, Tra Linh commune. Despite being warned, persuaded and asked to leave the house to ensure safety, Mr. Ru still "barricaded" in the house and did not evacuate. While he was in the house, the flood water rose rapidly, trapping and isolating him. Due to deep and fast-flowing water, boats and rafts could not approach the house.

Faced with the emergency, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command mobilized specialized rescue boats from Hoa An to help.

Because the house was isolated and surrounded by very strong currents, it took the boat four times to reach the house. Then, using ropes and hands to hold the boat to lift the person up. After about 30 minutes of trying to overcome the flood, the forces brought Mr. Ru out of the danger zone and ensured his safety.

The incident shows the sense of responsibility and determination of the authorities in responding to natural disasters. At the same time, it is a warning for people to raise awareness and absolutely not be subjective in floods.
