To prepare well for the final matches of the 2023 - 2024 national professional tournaments, VFF has given instructions and requests to VPF Company, clubs, referee boards, match organizers of professional tournaments and supervisors and referees running the tournament.

Notably, VFF coordinated with the tournament organizing committee to research and propose inviting international referees in the region to officiate important matches.

Recently, V-League has had many hot spots related to referees. Although VAR has helped referees reduce errors, there are still controversies leading to reactions from clubs.

According to VFF, referees must uphold a sense of responsibility, manage matches according to the law; constantly strive to improve ethics and expertise; and strictly handle violent and unsportsmanlike behavior. In matches where VAR technology is applied, referee teams must coordinate closely according to FIFA procedures to make accurate decisions.

VFF also requested the leaders and coaching staff of the clubs to strengthen the education of players to promote the spirit of honest competition and fair play; promote professional behavior during competition and raise awareness of responsibility towards fans; absolutely respect and comply with the decisions of the referees.

In particular, after the incident of 5 Ha Tinh Club players being arrested for using banned substances, VFF requested that clubs strengthen the management of players and club members to absolutely not allow players to illegally use addictive substances.

For the match organizers, VFF requires close coordination with local authorities, strengthening security measures to ensure safety for matches, preventing extremists and flares from causing disorder and affecting the image of the tournament.

The final stage of the V-League will take place in mid-to-late June, with 4 rounds remaining. The championship race has cooled down as Nam Dinh FC is superior to the rest, while the relegation race is very unpredictable with 4 names: LPBank HAGL, Ha Tinh, SLNA and Quang Nam.
