The athletes competed excellently to bring home 20 more gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.

Aerobic Vietnam has no rivals.

On the competition day of May 14, the Vietnamese aerobic team competed in the finals of the mixed doubles and 5-person groups and won both gold medals. In the finals of the mixed doubles, the athletes Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi and Le Hoang Phong won the gold medal with an outstanding score of 19,233. In the finals of the 5-person groups, the athletes Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi, Le Hoang Phong, Vuong Hoai An, Nguyen Che Thanh, and Nguyen Viet Anh won the gold medal with a score of 19,611.

Thus, along with 3 gold medals in yesterday's competition day (May 13) of athletes: Pham The Gia Hien (aerobic men's singles), Tran Ha Vi (aerobic women's singles), Hoang Gia Bao, Le Hoang Phong, Nguyen Che Thanh (aerobic men's trio), Aerobic Vietnam has won all 5/5 gold medals at SEA Games 32.

Table tennis won historic gold medal.

Most impressive was the table tennis event , where the athlete pair Dinh Anh Hoang - Tran Mai Ngoc excellently defeated the very strong athlete pair Zhe Yu Chew - Jian Zeng (Singapore) in the final match of the mixed doubles to win the first gold medal for Vietnamese table tennis at this year's SEA Games.

This is the historic Gold Medal that we have been waiting for 24 years since the Gold Medal of the pair Vu Manh Cuong - Ngo Thu Thuy (SEA Games 1999). In the mixed doubles final, in the first set, a surprise happened when the two Vietnamese players won. Entering the match, the two players Zhe Yu Chew - Jian Zeng took a big lead of 10-3 and only had 1 point left to end the match. However, the two Singapore players did not expect Dinh Anh Hoang and Tran Mai Ngoc to be so persistent and courageous. The two Vietnamese players did the unthinkable by scoring 7 consecutive points, tying the score at 10-10 and winning 13-11, taking the lead 1-0.

Continuing the momentum, Dinh Anh Hoang - Tran Mai Ngoc continued to win the second set with a score of 11-8, raising the score to 2-0. Although losing the third set with a score of 8-11, but winning the fourth set with a close score of 14-12, the two Vietnamese players Dinh Anh Hoang - Tran Mai Ngoc won the final 3-1 against the Singapore pair to win the Gold Medal after 24 years of waiting for the Vietnamese table tennis team.

Fencing won the Women's Team Sabre Gold Medal.

Fencing also received good news when it won two consecutive gold medals in the women's team sabre and men's team sabre. The gold medal in the women's team sabre went to Phung Thi Khanh Linh, Pham Thi Thu Hoai, Bui Thi Thu Ha, and Le Minh Hang. Immediately after, athletes Hoang Nhat Nam, Nguyen Tien Nhat, Nguyen Phuoc Den, and Truong Tran Nhat Minh defeated Thailand in the final with a score of 45-33, winning the gold medal in the men's team sabre.

Weightlifter Tran Minh Tri.

In weightlifting, athlete Tran Minh Tri won the gold medal in the men's 67kg category with a total lift of 306kg, including 130kg in the snatch and 176kg in the clean and jerk. This achievement also helped Minh Tri break the SEA Games record in the clean and jerk (old record 173kg). Unfortunately, athlete Hoang Thi Duyen could not successfully defend her championship title and only won the bronze medal.

In the final of the women's 59kg category, Hoang Thi Duyen stopped at 112kg in clean and jerk, achieving a total of 205kg. She registered for 97kg with the intention of breaking the SEA Games record (96kg) but was unsuccessful. The gold medal winner in this category was the Philippine athlete who successfully lifted 98kg, setting a new SEA Games record.

Diving is the "gold mine" of Vietnamese sports.

Diving continues to be the "gold mine" of Vietnamese sports when bringing home 5 gold medals thanks to the efforts of athletes: Nguyen Tran San San (diving, breaking the record for women's 800m fins); Vu Dang Nhat Nam (400m double fins); Nguyen Thi Thao (diving, 50m double fins); Nguyen Trong Dung (men's 800m fins); Nguyen Tien Dat, Do Dinh Toan, Pham Thi Thu, Cao Thi Duyen, Nguyen Thanh Loc (mixed relay 200m fins).

before the strong Thai boxer.

Meanwhile, in tennis, Vietnam's No. 1 player Ly Hoang Nam had health problems and lost to Rifki Fitriadi (Indonesia), winning the bronze medal. Ly Hoang Nam failed to defend his gold medal in the men's singles.
