Sow love for homeland and islands in children

DNO - In addition to teaching talents, every summer, Da Nang Children's Palace organizes fun activities, experiences, and picnics combined with life skills education for children. From there, it trains self-awareness, solidarity, teamwork, and especially fosters love for the country and the homeland's sea and islands for children.

This summer, Da Nang Children's Palace organized a summer camp for children with many activities such as sightseeing, picnics, and teambuilding, taking place on July 22 and 29. There are two main contents: the summer life skills education program with the theme "I love my homeland's sea and islands" and the program "Experience to grow up".

With the life skills education program, nearly 200 children in the city visited, played and learned many new things at the 3D Museum; learned about the history, sovereignty of Hoang Sa archipelago and marine creatures at Hoang Sa Exhibition House.

Coming to Hoang Sa Exhibition House, most of the children were surprised and curious when they saw for the first time the artifacts and tools serving the lives of Hoang Sa people through the guide's guidance.

It was especially exciting to see the largest collection of shells in Vietnam, with more than 1,000 types of shells, clams, oysters, etc. on display here. Phan Hoang Quyen, a student of the 2D gifted class, Da Nang Children's Palace, shared: "I am very happy to visit Hoang Sa Exhibition House. We hope to come back here again to learn more new knowledge."

According to Mr. Bui Thien Vy, Deputy Director of Da Nang Children's Palace, with the life skills education program "I love my homeland's sea and islands", students are inspired to understand and feel the sacrifices of their ancestors in the fight to protect the sovereignty of their homeland's sea and islands.

This is also an opportunity for children to gain more knowledge about the history, land and people of Hoang Sa. From there, foster national pride and a sense of respect for peace today in children.

On July 29, the Children's Palace continued to organize the program "Experience to grow up" for about 300 students. The main activities were picnics, team building, and group activities. Thereby, creating a useful and practical playground for children during the summer, contributing to training habits, time management skills, problem solving, and positive thinking for children through practical activities.
