Go Dau: Rally in response to National Day against Drugs in 2025

On the morning of June 26, the People's Committee of Go Dau town organized a rally and parade in response to the "Month of action against drugs" and "National day against drugs" in 2025.

At the rally and parade, Mr. Tran Van Nhan - Chairman of Go Dau Town People's Committee spoke and called on all people to step up drug prevention work, creating a widespread movement in the area.

In recent years, the situation of drug trafficking and use in Go Dau town has become complicated, seriously affecting the security and order situation in the locality.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of drug addicts under management in Go Dau town was 16 people, and 38 illegal drug users with management records.

Go Dau town police conducted rapid tests on 90 people, found 25 people positive, made records to administratively fine 25 people, with a total fine of nearly 38 million VND, applied compulsory drug rehabilitation measures according to Decree 116/ND-CP to 12 people; organized to eradicate, arrest and prosecute 2 cases of 7 subjects for crimes of buying, selling, storing and organizing illegal use of drugs.

The authorities have implemented many measures to combat and eradicate drugs such as: transforming key and complicated areas, educating , deterring, and widely propagating among the people to contribute to "Building drug-free agencies and schools".

Immediately after the launching ceremony, cadres, civil servants, union members, youth, and armed forces of Go Dau town participated in a parade through several main roads in the area, calling on all classes of people to actively respond and participate in preventing and denouncing crimes and drug abuse, and pushing drugs out of the community.
