Organizing the Opening Ceremony is truly a national festival to bring children to school.

According to the document, implementing the direction of the General Secretary in Document No. 17215-CV/VPTW dated August 29, 2025 of the Central Party Office on organizing the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long has the following comments:

The Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the People's Committees of localities and relevant agencies, according to their functions, tasks and authority, closely coordinate and focus on effectively implementing measures to prevent, combat and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, ensuring adequate conditions for students nationwide to enter the new school year; the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year in conjunction with the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Education sector needs to be carefully prepared, ensuring practicality, safety, effectiveness, creating a joyful, healthy, exciting atmosphere, truly a National Day of Bringing Children to School in accordance with the direction of the General Secretary in Document No. 17215-CV/VPTW mentioned above.

The Ministry of Education and Training is urgently preparing carefully and organizing well the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year and celebrating the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Education sector in Hanoi.

The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities urgently direct the careful preparation and good organization of the Opening Ceremony of the new school year for educational and training establishments in the area; report to the Secretary of the Provincial/City Party Committee and direct the Director of the Department of Education and Training on directing the organization and chairing of the Opening Ceremony at local connection points.

The Ministry of Education and Training presides over and coordinates with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam News Agency and relevant agencies to focus on directing news agencies and newspapers to do a good job of propaganda, creating consensus and unity among the people about the purpose and meaning of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Education sector and the Opening Day of the new school year 2025-2026.

The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, especially the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Son La, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, review and mobilize maximum resources and forces to repair and complete all schools and school sites affected by storm No. 5 and recent natural disasters, ensuring conditions for students to go to school safely and fully; students must not be left without schools, classes, books, and school supplies.

For schools and campuses that have collapsed or are severely damaged and have not been restored or are unsafe, there must be a plan to arrange temporary, suitable locations for opening ceremonies and studying for students; at the same time, there must be policies and measures to promptly support teachers, students, and parents to overcome difficulties and confidently enter the new school year./.
