Neighborhood groups signed a commitment to build "drug-free communes and wards"

According to the plan, Thuan Hoa ward aims to have 16/53 residential groups meeting the "drug-free" criteria by the end of 2025, moving towards 100% of residential groups meeting the standards by 2030, making Thuan Hoa a "drug-free" ward before December 14, 2030.

Criteria include: No drug addicts or illegal drug users (except those undergoing drug rehabilitation or replacement treatment), no drug law violators, no drug shelters or organizations.

To realize the goal, the ward has implemented many synchronous solutions, in which the residential groups conduct a general review and assessment of the current situation; set up a complaint mailbox, and publicize the hotline of the ward police chief. At the same time, a commitment is signed between the head of the residential group and the government on the responsibility of building a drug-free area; establishing a psychological counseling group, a drug user management group, and a post-addiction support group to support reintegration into the community.

From 2025 to 2030, the ward will continue to promote measures to prevent, control and combat drug crimes; replicate the self-management model, "Drug-free schools", "Cultural residential areas", and the movement "All people protect national security". Propaganda work is carried out regularly and in various forms such as billboards, posters, social networks, community activities, focusing on groups of teenagers, students, and workers - vulnerable groups.

The plan links the responsibility of leaders of Party committees, authorities, and grassroots cadres to the results of building drug-free areas; strengthens inspections and strictly handles violations. Financial, health, education , and social security resources are also prioritized to both prevent drugs and support post-rehab people to have jobs and stabilize their lives.

The plan to build a "drug-free ward" in Thuan Hoa demonstrates the high determination and synchronous participation of the entire political system and the people, aiming at the goal of maintaining security and order, building a safe and healthy living environment, serving the sustainable development of the locality.
