Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Manh Tien (Vice President of Vietnam Environmental Economics Association):
The entire political system and the entire population work together to strongly protect the environment.

In this draft, I see that environmental protection issues receive great attention.
The draft has clearly included the content, the environmental field as well as the goals and targets for implementation. Vietnam is a country that has suffered heavily from climate change.
This is a reality that we have set out to join other countries in coming up with solutions to combat climate change.
The draft pointed out that environmental pollution has not been effectively controlled and is even more serious, especially in large cities, industrial zones and craft villages.
We need more directions on solutions and specific resources to gradually solve the pressing problems affecting people's health.
Regarding air pollution treatment, the document has proposed an action program to fundamentally overcome environmental pollution in large cities and craft villages, especially air pollution in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
I think it needs to be expanded further. The entire political system and the entire population should participate strongly and widely in environmental protection. In addition, it is necessary to promote the management responsibility of the local government and the resources for implementation.
Need more human resources with deep knowledge of management, love of environment and investment in technology. Create mechanism for enterprises to participate in the process of handling environmental pollution in all fields.
Strengthening environmental education in schools and environmental ethics is the guiding principle for all actions to protect "Mother Nature", aiming at people's happiness.
Mr. Ngo Van Hong (Trung My Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City):
The people's biggest wish is to end traffic jams, flooding, and pollution.

For decades, people in big cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have been facing problems of traffic jams, flooding, and environmental pollution.
The people's great desire is for the streets to be free of traffic jams, for the city to no longer be flooded when it rains, and for the city environment to be free of pollution.
Ho Chi Minh City residents were very happy when, in his speech at the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, General Secretary To Lam pointed out these existing problems and requested that Ho Chi Minh City quickly and thoroughly resolve them.
In addition, when implementing the two-tier local government model, the people's greatest expectation is that administrative procedures must be handled better and faster.
Procedures that used to take a month can be shortened to 10-15 days for the convenience of the people. Thus, the people can clearly feel the positive effects of the new system.
The problem of online and telephone fraud is causing huge losses of money and harming people's health. There must be strong enough measures to prevent it, especially in protecting people's personal information.
At the same time, the need for duplicate documents should be minimized because the information has been integrated into the system. The propaganda of new policies must be innovated with many forms to reach more deeply to all people, all ages.
