Hanoi speeds up site clearance for two national railway projects

On July 11, under the chairmanship of Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, the Steering Committee for Site Clearance (GPMB) for the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway and the North - South high-speed railway project (section passing through Hanoi) held a meeting on the progress of implementing the GPMB work for these two projects.

At the meeting, representatives of the authorities said that the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line through Hanoi has a length of about 37.5km and the clearance volume is about 245.2ha. The North - South high-speed railway project has a length of about 27.9km through Hanoi and the expected land area to be recovered and cleared is about 112.7ha.

Currently, the Railway Project Management Board ( Ministry of Construction ) is actively working with relevant units to complete the review of the route in July and hand over the partial site clearance markers in August to the localities for the above two projects.

Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired a meeting on the progress of site clearance for two key railway projects passing through Hanoi.

To speed up the progress of site clearance for the above two projects, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee requested that the Party Secretary of the communes where the projects pass must be the head of the commune's site clearance steering committee to direct the implementation of site clearance projects in the area. He requested that the communes involved in the two projects be proactive and "finalize" the resettlement sites in the area next week.

Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture should soon advise the city to plan resettlement areas to serve the city's investment projects from now until 2030.

The Hanoi People's Committee will soon have instructions on regulations related to decentralization, authorization, and authority of commune level in implementing site clearance work for these two projects.
