Lam Dong urges construction of 8 resettlement areas to serve high-speed railway project

On the morning of August 23, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with relevant departments and localities on site clearance for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Lam Dong province.

According to the report of the representative of the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2, the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Lam Dong province is 156.5km long and includes 2 stations (Phan Ri station in Bac Binh commune; Phan Thiet station in Binh Thuan ward). The project passes through 18 communes and wards, with a total clearance area of ​​1,046.42 hectares, with 2,476 households and 36 organizations affected.

To serve the project, 8 resettlement areas in 8 communes and wards have been identified with an area of ​​27,684 hectares (1,001 hectares of land), with a total investment of about 439.6 billion VND, meeting the resettlement of 812 households out of a total of 952 affected households (140 households resettled into the existing land fund of the communes).

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai chaired the meeting.

According to reports from units, recently, some tasks related to the progress of implementing the construction of 8 resettlement areas for commune level have been slow, such as announcing land recovery in resettlement areas, signing contracts with construction consulting units with specific land prices, etc.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested units and localities to speed up the compensation and site clearance work for the project.

After listening to the opinions of departments and localities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 to coordinate with relevant departments, Branch of the Land Fund Development Center No. 1, and People's Committees of wards and communes to speed up the work of compensation and site clearance for the project, giving priority to the construction of resettlement areas in the immediate future; focusing on guiding localities on procedures related to site clearance and land recovery.

Departments (Finance, Construction, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade) resolve and shorten the time for documents related to resettlement areas, project appraisal and approval; and funding for resettlement areas.

Representative of Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 2 reported the progress of resettlement areas.

For wards and communes (Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Luong Son, Ham Liem, Hong Son, Binh Thuan, Tan Lap, Ham Kiem) that are arranged to build 8 resettlement areas, urgently notify the land recovery of related households; at the same time, select and sign contracts with consulting units to determine specific land prices as a basis for implementing compensation, support and resettlement land prices. Localities sign to confirm the extract of the cadastral map of the location of the recovered land; update, adjust, approve land use planning and land use plan for the project.

Representative of Tan Lap Commune People's Committee reported the progress of resettlement area implementation to provincial leaders.

Speeding up the construction of 8 resettlement areas to serve affected households, contributing to clearing the total land fund in the project area, serving the commencement of construction of the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Lam Dong province according to the roadmap set out by the Government.
