Hanoi accepts applications for the "Craft Village Product Contest 2025" until September 7

The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment said that it is accepting applications for the contest: "Craft village product contest in 2025", which will last until September 7.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Contest was launched in June across the city and went through two preliminary and final rounds. All collectives and individuals (authors, groups of authors) in Hanoi, regardless of occupation, age, gender; have full civil capacity; have the ability to craft and produce handicraft products can participate in the Contest.

Contest products are handicraft products that meet the criteria set forth by the Organizing Committee and belong to the following groups: Rattan, bamboo, leaves, sedge; lacquer, mother-of-pearl inlay, mother-of-pearl, fine art wood; ceramics and glass; weaving and embroidery; stone sculpture, metalwork, flower art, paintings, etc.

Contest products must be new products created and modeled by the author or group of authors (not copied products); products that have not won prizes in other competitions (organized by city level or equivalent or higher) at home and abroad; each author or group of authors can submit one or more products or sets of products to the contest and are solely responsible for intellectual property rights and legality related to the products.

The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment said that from August 7 to September 7, the unit will receive contest entries by postmark or submit them directly to the Department's Rural Development Department (No. 73, Le Hong Phong Street, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi). Contest entries will be received from September 12 to 15 at the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (No. 489 Hoang Quoc Viet, Hanoi).

The contest aims to contribute to the preservation and development of traditional occupations, craft villages, and traditional craft villages; preserve and promote national cultural identity, improve competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets; at the same time, create a playground for authors to exchange, learn experiences, increase product value, expand consumption markets, and move towards export.

The Organizing Committee will honor and award the winning products of the Contest. The award structure includes: 1 special prize, 5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes, 30 consolation prizes, 50 secondary prizes. In addition, the authors will also receive a Commemorative Medal and a Certificate of Achievement from the Organizing Committee of the Contest.

The contest is an event in the series of activities of the International Craft Village Conservation and Development Festival 2025 held in November 2025 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
