Many areas in Hai Ba Trung District are included in the plan to temporarily stop power supply of Hai Ba Dung Electricity Company.

In Dong Da District (Hanoi), Dong Da Electricity Company has updated the plan to temporarily stop supplying electricity from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a part of the roads and streets including: Chua Lang, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tay Son, Nguyen Luong Bang, Ly Van Phuc and Trinh Hoai Duc.

In Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi), part of Me Tri Ward, My Dinh 1 Ward, GreenBay Me Tri Urban Area and part of Xuan Canh and Xuan Phuong Wards are planned to have power outage from 8am to 4pm.

In Thai Nguyen , the updated power outage schedule for June 13 on the website of Thai Nguyen Electricity Company shows 26 plans to cut off power supply.

Due to the extreme hot weather, the high demand for electricity will cause local overload, the remaining areas must reduce and stop power supply to prevent problems with the power system.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) said that as of June 11, many large hydropower plants in the North had flow rates exceeding the dead water level but decreased by 26% compared to June 10. According to calculations, the total capacity that could not be mobilized from the Son La, Lai Chau, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang, Tuyen Quang, Thac Ba, Hua Na, and Ban Ve hydropower plants was up to 5,000 MW.

Due to a shortage of electricity supply amid huge demand for electricity, on June 11, power units in the North reduced about 2,744 MW, which is the reason why many areas continue to suffer from power cuts and outages.

Updated information from EVN, after a period of repair and troubleshooting, starting from today, June 13, Unit S2 (capacity 13 million kWh) of Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant and Unit S1 (capacity 7 million kWh/day) of Nghi Son Thermal Power Plant will resume generating electricity. Accordingly, these two units will supplement the Northern grid with 20 million kWh/day, contributing to reducing the tension of power shortage in the North.
