Ha Tinh accompanies Vietnam Electricity Group in implementing projects

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai affirmed that Ha Tinh province will accompany Vietnam Electricity Group, determined to remove difficulties, implement construction investment projects in the area on schedule, contributing to ensuring national energy security.

On the afternoon of January 11, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha chaired a working session with Vietnam Electricity Group, listening to contents related to the situation of electricity supply, investment in construction of power projects and works, and removing difficulties and obstacles for 500 kV projects in the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Le Phu - General Director of National Power Transmission Corporation reported on the electricity supply situation and investment and construction of power projects in Ha Tinh.

Ha Tinh power grid has 2 500 kV transformer stations, connecting factories in Vung Ang area to the grid and connecting circuits 1 and 2 on the North - South axis; supplying electricity for industrial park loads, people's daily life and economic development in Ha Tinh area.

Mr. Pham Le Phu - General Director of National Power Transmission Corporation reported on the electricity supply situation and investment and construction of power projects in Ha Tinh.

Regarding the implementation of the 500 kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project, the project invested in building about 225.5 km of new 500 kV transmission line, the route passing through the three provinces of Quang Binh , Nghe An and Ha Tinh. Of which, the route passing through Ha Tinh is about 141.52 km long, with 285 locations in Ky Anh town and the districts of Ky Anh, Cam Xuyen, Thach Ha, Huong Khe, Can Loc, Vu Quang, Duc Tho and Huong Son.

The project has an impact on the area of ​​forest land that needs to be converted, which is more than 63.6 hectares. Up to now, the Quang Trach - Quynh Luu 500 kV transmission line project has been approved for investment and is selecting a contractor. The project is stuck in converting the purpose of forest use and the work of measuring and compensating for site clearance.

To ensure the urgent progress of completing the project's energization in June 2024 as directed by the Prime Minister, Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation request the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to consider and direct departments, branches and localities to pay attention, support and coordinate the work.

Mr. Phan Thanh Bien - Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment reported on the status of processing dossiers approving investment policies for power grid projects in the area.

At the working session, leaders of departments and branches of Ha Tinh province focused on discussing, analyzing difficulties and proposing solutions on the electricity supply situation, plans for developing the power supply network, power planning, and implementing power grid investment projects in the area.

At the same time, it is recommended that Vietnam Electricity Group allocate resources, establish a new investment portfolio, upgrade the local power system to meet practical requirements for key projects and areas in the area; consider allocating investment capital to relocate the local power grid system to ensure conditions for project implementation...

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee pledged that Ha Tinh province will accompany and create favorable conditions for Vietnam Electricity Group and its member units to invest in projects in the area. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments, branches and localities to continue reviewing and promptly coordinating with the electricity sector, deploying solutions to remove difficulties and implementing key and urgent projects of the electricity sector.

Regarding the 500 kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project, recently, the province has resolutely directed relevant departments, branches and localities to coordinate and implement the contents. To speed up the progress, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to advise the Provincial People's Committee on contents related to the conversion of forest use purposes; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to direct and guide compensation and site clearance to ensure the progress of the project; localities where the project has passed through resolutely in site clearance work.

Departments, branches and localities need to immediately implement a weekly meeting regime to review, direct and determine where projects are stuck and promptly resolve them, absolutely not allowing the loss of the State budget to occur.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation to complete relevant documents and procedures; coordinate to remove difficulties, proactively implement tasks, and focus resources on the project. At the same time, he requested the Group to continue to pay attention to investing in power source systems and grids in Ha Tinh; support the province in completing electricity criteria in new rural construction according to the approved project...
