Taking advantage of the summer vacation, Mr. Anjan Sengupta M took his son to Vietnam to travel and participate in the VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon, distance 42km.
Having just landed on a flight from New Delhi to Hanoi on June 8, the next day, Mr. Anjan Sengupta M, 50 years old, and his son flew to Quy Nhon to participate in the VnExpress Marathon. After just a few minutes of checking the QR code, they completed the procedure to receive the Bib and race-kit bag with full items such as shirts, hats, gloves, drinks, food... for runners running the 42km distance.
Mr. Anjan said he has been running for 6 years. He learned about VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon when searching for information about a vacation in Vietnam and was immediately impressed by the wonderful running route there. "The atmosphere is really fun, the weather is cool, not too sunny like in India. I was given careful instructions when getting my Bib," said the Indian runner.

Dhruv Aryan Sengupta M - Anjan's son - is on summer break in his third year of college. After five years of running and participating in competitions at school, this will be his first time competing in an international 42km race.
While his father set a goal of finishing in 4 hours and 30 minutes, the 21-year-old man is confident that he can conquer the full marathon in less than 3 hours. "I think that with the flat, wide running route, I will have no difficulty achieving sub 3," said Dhruv Aryan.
After the race, the father and son plan to stay in Vietnam for four days and visit some famous landmarks such as Hanoi and Ha Long Bay.

Also registering for the 42km is Mr. Eddy Sobiera, 63 years old, from Belgium. He has lived in Vietnam for 6 years and is participating in the VnExpress Marathon for the third time.
He has been running since he was 20 years old and regularly participates in long-distance races of 55, 70, and 80km. Therefore, Eddy does not feel pressured in the full marathon. These past days, he has spent time traveling, enjoying beer and Vietnamese food. The hot, sunny air makes him feel more comfortable than the weather in Europe.
"I think I will finish the race in 4 hours and 30 minutes. I love sports , I love running and it doesn't matter what the result is," he said.

Among the first foreign runners to receive his Bib on June 9, Edson Francisco Sanches, 40, said that since coming to live and work in Vietnam five years ago, he has participated in about 10 races. "This is one of the most professionally organized and high-quality marathons in Vietnam," Edson said.
The Brazilian engineer wants to spend all his time before the race resting in Quy Nhon to be in the best physical and mental condition. His goal is to break his personal record for the 21km distance in 1 hour 45 minutes. Edson has also registered to participate in the VnExpress Marathon Ha Long in September.
VnExpress Marathon Sparkling Quy Nhon season 4 attracts 10,000 participants, including hundreds of international runners. The race will start at 3am on June 11 when the 42km runners start. The 21, 10, and 5km distances start at 4am, 4:30am, and 4:45am, respectively. On the way, runners will have the opportunity to explore famous landmarks such as Xuan Dieu "crescent moon" beach, Thi Nai bridge, and Phuong Mai sand dunes.
This season brings many innovations in the organization, including the application of a system of interconnected utility stations on the race track to ensure the athletes' support. A completely new sign system is used for navigation and announcements.
