Yesterday morning, March 31, ship number QT 92222 - TS of the Quang Tri Province's standing militia squadron, while on duty in the Southeast sea area, 10 nautical miles from Con Co Island, discovered a fishing boat of Quang Binh fishermen with license plate number QB - 92659 - TS sending a distress signal.

As soon as receiving the information, the ship of the Provincial Standing Militia Fleet proactively contacted and reported the situation to superiors for instructions.

In the dangerous monsoon weather, fog, and waves from 2.5 to 3 meters high, ship QT 92222 - TS of the Quang Tri Province's standing militia quickly approached the fishing boat in distress, grasped the preliminary situation of people, materials, and vehicles on board to take rescue measures.

Initial verification showed that the fishing boat, captained by fisherman Luu Van Nho, born in 1977 in Quang Binh, and 5 crew members were fishing at sea when a net got tangled in the propeller, making the boat unable to maneuver and forced to drift in the area of ​​Con Co Island.
